A cutting tool 18 is installed to the rotary table 9 directly through a guide table 15. A drive machanism 21 rotates the spindle 7, thus pivoting the rotary table being supported by the static pressure bearing 11 at around the spindle 7, and swinging the cutting tool 18 with no vibration. As a result, a rotating work A supported by a spindle 3 is machined very precisely by the cutting tool 18.
