Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide all-weather and soundproof transportation means, which comprises cars having a smaller cross section, track means having a smaller cross section, the construction of the track means being enclosed and the track means being provided with facilities necessary for travelling of the cars, and stations closely attached to the track means. CONSTITUTION:Elevated track segments 3 include therebetween covers 25 each covering a joint space between roofs 4 and side walls 5 to effect prevention of track means from being displaced. On opposite sides of the roof portion 4 are arranged troughs which also act as service car rails where snow-removing work on the roofs and maintenance work on the roofs and outer surfaces of the side walls can be carried out. Each elevated track segment 3 is formed to have an enclosed cross section, and provided with necessities for trains to travel therethrough, i.e. traveling path means 7, guide rails 8, stabilizing rails 9, electric car lines 10, signal communication transmission loop lines 11, electric power cables 12 and signal and communication cables 13. Boarding and alighting will be made such that the train is stopped at a position where the passenger gates 23 coincide with boarding and alighting gates of the station.
