Abstract

CONSTITUTION: An exhaust manifold 8 of a diesel engine 1 is connected to a turbine 2 through a three-way joint 9. A compressor 3 connected to the turbine 2 by means of a shaft 4 is connected to a suction manifold 6 through a cooler 5. An engine 11 separately installed consisting of a gas turbine, etc. is connected to the three-way joint 9 portion through a control valve 10, and the control valve 10 is subject to the signals of a pressure detector 7 mounted to the suction manifold 6 and opened when the load of the engine is low. Thus, the efficiency of the filling of the engine 1 is improved because exhaust gas with high temperature from the engine 11 separately installed is introduced to the turbine 2 and the compressor 3 is accelerated.
