Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the optimum heat generation, for preheating the engine, applicable in a short length of time, regardless of a surge of the power source voltage level and regardless of a length of time elapsed after a stop of the engine until a start of repreheating.
CONSTITUTION: Now with a key switch 2 closed, a voltage is applied to a power source voltage detector 3 and a timer resetter 11, further by its output, a transistor 8 is turned on through a timer 4 and a diode 6, with the coil 9A of a magnetic switch 9 conducted and the switch closed, to rapidly preheat a glow plug 10, the rated voltage of which is made below a level of the power source voltage. And after the required length of time elapsed, the timer 4 works to turn off the transistor 8 with the above described switch 9 closed, simultaneously with an oscillator 5 starting to work, in accordance with a voltage value detected by the above described device 3, the transistor 8 is made on-off at a required intermittent time interval, thus with the glow plug 10 intermittently preheated.
