Abstract
PURPOSE: To minimize formation and accumulaion of tar-like substance at vaporizing section for improvement of combustion performance by employing a porous body composed of a special (or a particular) fibrous material.
CONSTITUTION: A porous body 1, which is wholly or partly composed of alumina, silica alumina or silica refractory-like fibrous material and equipped with numerous capillary tubes, is provided under a primary combustion chamber 10 with a vaporizing section 2 on top and a fuel supply section 3 (composed of spaces) on bottom. In this mechanism, a fuel supplied to the fuel supply section 3 from a fuel supply pipe 4 is sucked up the capillary tubes of the porous body 1 to be heated and vaporized at the vaporizing section 2 and supplied to a heat exchanger 12 while being mixed up and heated up together with air supplied to the primary combustion chamber 10 and a secondary combustion chamber 11 from an air supply pipe 5 through an air flow adjusting valve 6 and an air chamber 7. At that time, since the main material composing the porous body 1 has a controlling or checking effect against formation of tar-like substance, the prescribed objective can be achieved.
