Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the motion of an objective lens in the fixed direction at high accuracy, by supplying fixed signals to piezo-electric elements mounted to plate springs holding the objective lens in the fixed direction, elastically and in a movable shape and by utilizing signals obtained from said elements. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical holding cylinder 20 for an objective lens 5 is made of a magnetic body, and connected to coil bobbins 23 by means of two plate springs 21, 22, which do not bend in the optical axis direction of the lens, and the lens 5 and the bobbins 23 integrally move in relation to focussing. The bobbins 23 are mounted to holding frames 30 for magnets 25 through plate springs with shapes, which are approximately symmetric with respect to an optical axis, such as spidery plate springs 29, and at least one piezo-electric element 31 is installed to the plate springs 29. Thus, the motion of the lens 5 in the fixed direction can be controlled at high accuracy if the deformation of the plate springs 29, electric signals corresponding to the quantity of the movement of the lens 5 in the optical axis direction, is detected, fed to a focussing control circuit and motional feedback controlled.
