Abstract

PURPOSE:To form film which is uniformly coated and which causes no burning during stress-relieving annealing, no peeling of film, and no carburizing, by applying a prescribed amount of a mixt. contg. limited quantity of phosphoric acid, chromic acid, Mg cpd. as essential components to electrical sheet, and by baking it. CONSTITUTION:Electrical sheet is applied with 0.5-2.5 g/cm<2> of a soln. of a mixt. consisting of, as essential components, 10-25 parts chromic anhydride, 15-25 parts Mg cpd. (as MgO) based on 100 wt. parts phosphoric acid (as 100 % H3PO4) on the surface. Then the sheet is baked at a sheet-temp. of 350-600 deg.C. This method yield an insulating film which is excellent in combined characteristics, i.e., excellent in uniform coating property and layer resistance, causing no trouble due to powder formation, no stickiness because it is insolubilized, no burning in stress-relieving annealing, no peeling of the film, and no carburizing.
