Abstract
PURPOSE: To restore digital information superposed upon a television signal operating even at the time of the absence of a restoration synchronizing signal without increasing the jitters, by controlling a PLL circuit by detecting the absence of the restoration synchronizing signal.
CONSTITUTION: A digital sound signal, multiplied in a horizontal retrace period, is supplied to terminal A, a digital signal string is extracted by a known method and then applied to series-parallel converter circuit 14 via gate 13, and sound restoration synchronizing signal (h) extracted in the same way is extracted via gate 7, thereby controlling the PLL circuit composed of digital phase comparator 8, low-pass filter 9, voltage conttol originating unit 10, and divider 11. When synchronizing signal (h) is not detected, output -Q of filp-flop 22 becomes "1" and substitute signal (r) obtained by delaying the output of divider 11 is applied to the PLL circuit at a time position where the synchronizing signal should have been originally, so that the operation of the PLL circuit will be kept normal.
