Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent damage of contents by reducing the drop head of the content by the use of a box inverter which inverts boxes while covering their opening and gradually uncovers the opening.
CONSTITUTION: Boxes 15 fed in by a feed-in conveyor 13 are nipped between a drum 1 and an inversion conveyor 19. With up-faced opening of the boxes 15 covered by the conveyor 19, the boxes 15 move downward along the periphery of the drum 1 while the drum rotates and the conveyor 19 moves. At a position under the drum 1, the boxes 15 are in an inverted state with their opening faced down. Inverted boxes 15 are delivered from the end of the conveyor 19 to a box carry- out station 37. In this delivery, the down-faced opening is gradually opened at a gap 39 so that the content 35 rolls down along a guide member 37 and is carried out by a take-up conveyor 33.
