Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve the improvement of toner supply efficiency to donor and the replenishment characteristic of toner by generating the vibrating magnetic fields wherein the AC components of vibration frequencies to the extent of collapsing the ears of the toner are superposed on DC components, near the peripheral surface of the donor.
CONSTITUTION: In the toner supply part, the first magnet 4 is disposed near the inside peripheral surface on the inner side of a donor 2 and the second magnet 5 is disposed on the outer side of the doner 2 so as to opposite to the first magnet 4 and yet an electromagnet 8 is provided in proximity to the peripheral surface of the donor on the inner side of the donor 2. The raised parts, etc. of the fine undulation structure are magnetized by the ferromagnetism thereof. The direction of said magnetization is in the direction promoting the magnetization of the abovementioned raised parts, etc. by a pair of the magnets 4, 5 and this is accomplished by the selection of currents. Thereby, sufficient magnetic force may be acted upon the toner being supplied, hence the supply efficiency of toner to the donor 2 may be improved.
