Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform always stable rolling work, for greatly improving the accuracy of sheet gauge and shape of the product, by measuring the surface roughness of the material and the surface roughness of the work roll, and by operating and setting the roll gap and the revolving speed of the roll. CONSTITUTION:The surface roughness of the rolled sheet 8 is measured by the surface roughness tester 10, and this value of measurement together with the surface roughness of the work roll are inputted to the arithmetic control unit 100. The unit 100 operates the value of deformation resistance of this sheet 8. This value is used for operating the rolling load and the rolling torque. Moreover, basing on these values, are operated the roll gap necessary for obtaining the aim sheet gauge on the exit side and the revolving speed of the roll corresponding to the output of the motor for driving the mill. The signals corresponding to the roll gap and the revolving speed of the roll are delivered and inputted from the arithmetic control unit 100 to the roll gap controller 11 and the revolving speed controller 31 for the roll, and those controllers 11, 31, set the aim value individually.
