Abstract

PURPOSE: To offer the modulation circuit effective even if the carrier frequency is close to the modulated frequency, by performing amplitude modulation with comparatively simple constitution.
CONSTITUTION: The modulation signal is inputted at the terminal d and it is inputted to the variable passing circuit 5. Further, a part of the input signal to the terminal d is inverted for the polarity with the inversion amplifying circuit 4 and inputted to the variable passing circuit 5. Moreover, carrier is inputted to the terminal e. The variable passing circuit 5 passed through carrier by taking a voltage V0 as the center, and if the carrier is at a level exceeding the voltage V1 apart toward positive direction than V0, no carrier is passed thorugh. If the carrier is a level exceeding a given voltage V2 apart toward negative direction than V0, no carrier can be passed. V1 and V2 are varied while keeping the relation of opposite phase with the modulation signal. The signal amplitude-modulation can be obtained with the output of the circuit 5 from the band pass circuit 6.
