PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for inspecting glass bottles or the like, in which a glass bottle is placed at the front focal point of a convex lens for irradiation of laser beam and strength distribution of light transmitted through the bottle is detected by an image detecting means disposed at the focal point of the convex lens, whereby inspection of the bottle can be achieved promptly and unintendedly.
