Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve memory characteristics by obtaining sufficiently response rate through application of high voltage pulse in both cases of writing and erasing and maintaining that state with low power consumption through application of a low voltage thereafter, in a display device of such construction wherein the pair of an oxidant and reductant are let to coexist between a pair of electrodes.
