Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a device, which detects acceleration in the mechanical vibration of a cutting tool, etc. occurring during cutting operation. This device transforms acceleration into RMS value and differentiates the building-up component and compares it with reference voltage, so that fracture of the cutting tool can be detected automatically and responds quickly.
