Method for removing graphite from surface area of workpiece and workpiece
The present invention relates to a surface of a brazing surface of a workpiece made of a MeC material containing dispersed graphite.
It relates to a method for burning out graphite from a range. Further, the present invention provides a method for removing graphite.
Made of a MeC material containing dispersed graphite having a surface area of the brazing surface
About materials.
A method of this kind and a workpiece of this kind are described in DE-A-263 263.
No. 5928.
In particular, the invention is formed as a contact pad of an electric switchgear, in particular silver-charcoal.
The present invention relates to a workpiece made of a raw material (AgC) material or a copper-carbon (CuC) material. About this
Continuing on, reference is made to the examples of DE-A 26 35 928.
I want to be illuminated.
The MeC material is a metal matrix having one or more dispersed particles of carbon (C) therein.
(Generally referred to as Me). The carbon is then usually present as graphite. Money
The genus matrix may be predominantly a pure metal or alloy.
Made of a material containing dispersed graphite, i.e. cast iron, and excluding graphite in preparation for brazing.
Regarding the treatment of workpieces with surface areas that must be removed,
Reference is also made to Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 279201. According to it
Put the work material in a container, close the container and continue to heat in a suitable atmosphere.
You. Alternatively, the surface area is baked in an acetylene-oxygen flame and subsequently sandblasted.
May be performed.
With regard to the workpiece acting as a contact pad,
No. 2,359,928 describes the surface area of the corresponding workpiece to be brazed or welded.
Several methods are disclosed for removing graphite from the enclosure. These methods are wet refining
In such a case, the material to be processed is treated by a suitable refining means in moisture and in an oxidizing atmosphere.
Heat treatment. These two methods basically treat the entire surface of the workpiece
Things. Alternatively, the work piece is composed of two layers by powder metallurgy to remove graphite.
Wherein the first layer is composed of a silver-carbon material and is used for an electrical switchgear.
Forming a contact pad, and the second layer is made of pure silver or a silver alloy, in any case
Contains no carbon, especially graphite.
MeC contact materials, especially AgC and CuC contact materials, are provided for bonding.
Cannot be reliably brazed or welded without removing graphite from the surface (brazing surface)
No. In practice, the method described below is used to ensure a secure bond.
a) a so-called two-layer contact consisting of a MeC layer and a brazable second layer, for example of pure silver
Manufacture of pads. The production of this kind of contact pads is by the two-layer mold technique or by the two-layer extrusion method
It is performed by Graphite dispersed in metal Me according to manufacturing conditions in case of two-layer extrusion method
The particles are slowly shaped and all have their longitudinal axis almost parallel to the open / close surface.
This forms a row structure (graphite row) as seen in the micrograph, causing poor melting.
There is a disadvantage that it occurs.
b) Complete burnout of graphite from MeC contact pads and subsequent contact pad 2
By milling or polishing one side of the split or burnt layer into two contact pads
Removal. When the contact pad that has been completely burned out is divided into two contact pads,
Graphite is no longer present in all marginal areas, which adversely affects weldability.
I will miss it. Processing by milling or polishing is very expensive and therefore
Get expensive.
c) Mechanical removal of graphite on the surface of the MeC contact pad. This method is of course time
And costly.
An object of the present invention is to remove graphite from a surface area of a workpiece by a simple method and to braze it.
Depleted or complete graphite only on the surface, and possibly on the narrow side of the workpiece.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a method capable of performing the total removal.
As for a method for solving this problem, MeC containing dispersed graphite is used.
To remove graphite from the workpiece made of material, especially the surface area of the brazing surface of the contact pad
The work piece, except on the brazing surface, before burning out the graphite from the surface area.
And place the graphite in the surface area by heating the brazing surface in an oxidizing atmosphere.
It is solved by burning out.
The present invention relates to an additive that does not contain graphite or is depleted of graphite in the desired area.
Ensure that the surface area of one side of the material is properly and reproducibly formed,
The surface area can be wetted without interference by brazing or liquid welding
It enables brazing or fusion welding of the surface area. Undesired parts of the workpiece black
Work to polish the lead depleted layer or to expose the surface area containing the desired dispersed graphite
It is no longer necessary to split the material.
The holder advantageously acts as a heat shield as well as a heat guide, while at the same time oxygen (
OTwo), Especially when air enters the area of the workpiece covered by the holder.
To prevent. Since the workpiece is heated in an oxidizing atmosphere, it is not covered by the holder.
The graphite burned in the area close to the surface is CO or COTwobecome. Workpiece holder
Heat is discharged to the holder on the side facing the side, which lowers the temperature and
Prevents burnout of graphite in the area of contact with the workpiece.
To form a layer distribution near a graphite-free or graphite-poor surface,
It is advantageous to form a holder having a notch for receiving the workpiece. Workpiece and Hol
Air in the area of contact betweenTwoA) to avoid intrusion
It is advantageous to minimize the gap between
Advantageously, the atmosphere for burning out the graphite is air.
In addition, the graphite is burned out from the side of the workpiece that is directly connected to the brazing surface,
As a result, there is at least a depleted range of graphite on such side surfaces.
It is advantageous. This embodiment will be described in detail below based on the workpiece according to the present invention.
You. In addition to this, not only the original brazing surface but also the side surface where graphite is depleted
It is advantageous to use a holder that also exposes minutes.
The holder is made of metal or ceramic such as ZrO.TwoUse
Can be. In particular, the use of graphite as the material for the holder
CO or CO in the gap betweenTwoIs formed in the range of the open / close side of the workpiece.
It is particularly advantageous because the burning out of graphite is prevented.
Advantageously, the inert gas is covered with an inert gas, especially on the opening and closing side, and / or
If the side area is pre-supplied, the inert gas flows around it, except on the brazing surfaces.
And an additional cooling effect occurs, preventing the ingress of oxidizing gas between the workpiece and the holder.
Therefore, burnout of the graphite in this range of the workpiece is sufficiently effectively prevented.
Supplying the inert gas is the lateral area of the contact pad covered by the holder
It is also advantageous to do so.
Advantageously, the inert gas is applied to the surface of the workpiece opposite the brazing surface, in particular in the holder.
Entered through a proper perforation.
The heating of the brazing surface is particularly rapid when performed by induction heating, ie with the use of an inductor.
This is advantageous because it can achieve a high level of heating. This is because the method of the present invention is used for mass production.
Is important.
The holder guarantees an important function of heat dissipation, resulting in the depletion or removal of graphite.
Occurs only in areas close to the surface of the material.
For the burnout of graphite, the brazing surface must be between 500 ° C. and 950 ° C., particularly preferably between 600 ° C. and 70 ° C.
It is advantageous to heat to a temperature of 0 ° C. Furthermore, this heating is more advantageous for 2 to 10 seconds.
Is advantageously performed in 3 to 7 seconds.
For special materials, for example, CuC contact pads are formed during heating after heating.
Post-treatment to remove the deposited oxide layer is considered. This post-treatment is thermochemically
Reducing atmosphere (eg HTwo), Chemically after-treatment by pickling
It is advantageous if the polishing is carried out mechanically or mechanically, in particular by so-called vibration polishing.
You.
More advantageously, the method can be performed continuously or by cycling.
Invented as a follow-on law. In that case, a so-called tunnel inductor is used to burn out graphite.
Use is advantageous.
According to the present invention, graphite is removed to solve the problem relating to the workpiece.
Workpiece made of MeC material containing dispersed graphite having a surface area of a brazing surface
Has been proposed, in which the surface area is such that only one side of the brazed graphite is burned out.
Are formed.
The main advantage of this workpiece is that the method of the invention is used to avoid repetition.
Elucidate by example.
The surface area of the workpiece extends to the side of the surface directly connected to the brazing surface
Advantageously, there is a substantially continuously decreasing depth on this side. Therefore brazing
Along this side starting from the surface, the continuously decreasing side to the extent that graphite is depleted
surface
There is a depth that reaches zero before the end. Therefore, this work material is also used for example in the present invention.
Have a much more complex shape than was previously possible with the manufacturing method
It will mainly have a two-layer structure.
The workpiece according to the invention is formed in particular as a contact pad of an electric switchgear.
. Such contact pads are outstanding in opening and closing behavior, including MeC materials
The graphite that is finely dispersed therein plays a heavy role. In case of such a contact pad
There is no strong fusion welding tendency. Furthermore, this contact pad can be used for simple means and also for large industrial applications.
Can be connected to the lead wire, especially by brazing or welding with the reliability required for
.
Embodiments of the method and workpiece according to the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. that time
FIG. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view of an apparatus including a holder, a workpiece, and an inductor;
FIG. 2 shows that the inert gas is supplied to both the opening and closing surfaces and the side surface of the workpiece.
Sectional view of the device corresponding to FIG.
FIG. 3 is a cutaway view of a MeC contact pad treated according to the method of the present invention, and
FIG. 4 shows an illustration of processing of a workpiece in a so-called continuous method.
The workpiece 1 in FIG. 1 is a MeC material to be treated by the method of the present invention, that is, Ag.
C is a contact pad 1 made of C. The contact pad 1 has a so-called brazing surface 3 as well as opening and closing
It has a surface 12. The support of the contact pad 1 is provided with a holder 2 which is
Has a notch 4 above. The contact pad 1 has a side surface area of the contact pad 1 therein.
The part is placed so as to be covered by the holder 2. Contact pad 1 and holder 2
Should be as small as possible.
In the region of the brazing surface 3 of the contact pad 1, it is performed in the region of the brazing surface 3 of the contact pad 1.
An inductor 8 is provided for induction heating. Heating is in an oxidizing atmosphere, advantageously
Is performed in air, where the melting point of silver, i.e. 700 ° C. or less, for a few seconds
For example, it is performed for 5 seconds. In this case, the holder 2 is provided with an opening / closing surface 12 and a covered contact pad.
Heat shield and coating on one narrow side, ie protective shield against oxidizing atmosphere
Works. The soldering surface 3 of the contact pad 1 as well as the exposed side area is exposed to an oxidizing environment.
Therefore, in the range close to the surface, graphite has the formula
C + OTwo → COTwo
COTwo + C → 2CO
Combustion based on
This step is performed exclusively in the exposed area, ie the contact pads 1 not covered by the holder 2
Of the surface area.
According to another embodiment of the invention (see FIG. 2), the open / close surface 12
Through an inert gas which causes additional cooling to the area and / or the side area covered.
May be. For this purpose, perforations 5, 6 and 7 are provided in the holder 2.
Graphite-free area 1 seen in the cut surface or micrograph after the method was performed
The state of 0 can be seen from FIG. The area 10 not containing graphite is the side of the contact pad 1
The depth of the range is continuously reduced by the heat discharging action of the holder 2 and is markedly graphite.
Shifts to the range 11 without reducing. Depth of notch 4 of holder 2, that is, notch 4
Of a range 10 not containing graphite by changing the depth of inserting the contact pad 1 in the inside
Is particularly affected by the lateral extent.
As shown in FIG. 4, the present invention is particularly suitable for a method used as a continuous method. So
In this case, the connection pads 1 and their holders 2 are lined up through a tunnel inductor 9.
It is conveyed continuously or discontinuously (ie, in a cycle operation).
Certain MeC contact materials, such as CuC contact pads, on which an oxide layer is formed during heating.
The post 1 is provided with a post-processing step for removing the oxide layer. This is a reduction atmosphere
