Abstract
Description
The invention relates to metallurgy and can be used in the manufacture and repair of tuyeres of a blast furnace.
Closest to the claimed technical solution is the tuyere of a metallurgical furnace containing a snout, a flange, an outer and inner case, which are interconnected by welds [1]
A disadvantage of the known tuyeres is its low resistance due to destruction along the heat-affected zone of the seam connecting the outer casing and the back part of it.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the resistance of the lance.
This is achieved by the fact that the lance contains a welded part, a flange, an outer and an inner case, interconnected by welds, and a protective layer with a thickness of 0.6-1.2 wall thickness is made on the weld connecting the outer case with the snout on the outside outer casing and a width of 1.5-3.0 width of this weld.
The lance of the blast furnace operates in difficult conditions: under the influence of high temperatures, aggressive environment and abrasion by charge materials. At the same time, the components of the tuyere and welds are made of copper and often the tuyere is destroyed along the heat-affected zone, and not having developed even 50% of its resource. To increase the service life of the tuyere, the surface of the weld (during the manufacture of the tuyere or during the development of 30% of its resource) has a protective coating of an alloy like bronze. The thickness of the protective coating is taken depending on the wall thickness of the outer casing to ensure uniform wear of the coating and wall. So, when the coating thickness is less than 0.6 of the wall thickness, the coating wears out faster than the walls and the lance is destroyed along the heat-affected zone, and when the coating thickness is more than 1.2 of the wall thickness, the lance fails due to wear of the wall of the outer casing and a further increase in the coating thickness is impractical .
The width of the coating is taken depending on the width of the protected weld. When the coating width is less than 1.5 of the seam width, the heat-affected zone on the back part and the outer casing is not fully protected and the lance quickly fails. Increasing the coating width of more than 3.0 seam width is already impractical, since it completely covers the seam and the heat affected zone.
The drawing shows a diagram of the implementation of the proposed method.
In the drawing: 1 back part, 2 outer casing, 3 inner casing, 4 protective layer, 5 flange, b outer wall wall thickness, the width of the seam, and the thickness of the protective layer, C the width of the protective layer.
Example. The lance part of the lance, flange, and the inner and outer casing are made of M1 brand copper and are interconnected by submerged arc welding. As a filler material used copper wire. The wall thickness of the outer casing is 4 mm, the width of the weld is 10 mm. The protective layer is made of bronze composition: 8.2% Sn, 1% Si, 0.8% B, 5% Ni, the rest is copper. The thickness of the protective layer is 3.7 mm, a width of 25 mm.
The proposed lance design can significantly increase its resistance by eliminating the contact of the heat-affected zone of the outer wall of the lance with the aggressive atmosphere of the blast furnace.
A known method of welding and surfacing of copper and shielding gases with a non-consumable electrode, including stripping the electrode wire and the base metal to shine, preheating to 300-400 o C and subsequent welding or surfacing.
The disadvantage of this method is the destruction of the weld of parts that remain for a long time at elevated temperature. With this method, the heat input into the base metal is not taken into account and the adjustment of the welding conditions is not regulated.
Closest to the proposed is a method of welding in shielding gases with a non-consumable electrode [2], including preliminary surface preparation, preheating to 200-300 o C and welding in shielding gases.
The disadvantage of this method is the low quality of the weld, especially when surfacing by plasma-arc method on a part that stays for a long time at elevated temperature. The prototype also does not take into account the influence of heat input from the welding arc on the quality of the weld.
The purpose of the invention is the implementation of the possibility of high-quality surfacing of the tuyeres of a blast furnace made of copper and its alloys by a plasma-arc method.
This is achieved by the fact that the method of manufacturing a weld seam of the tuyere of a blast furnace includes mechanical preparation for surfacing, preheating to 200-300 o C, surfacing at a current of (31-42) b (A), where b is the wall thickness of the outer casing, mm , in the process of plasma surfacing, the tuyere is rotated by 65% of its diameter, then the current towards the end of surfacing is gradually reduced by 10-20% from its initial value, while heating and surfacing are carried out for a period of not more than two hours.
The proposed method uses a plasma-arc method of surfacing, as it has several advantages: a small penetration depth (up to 0.1 mm) and, therefore, a small heat-affected zone, as well as the possibility of surfacing of wide layers in one pass (using electrode vibration ) Preheating is carried out to 200-300 o C. When heated below 200 o C there is non-melting on the back of the lance due to its large mass and rapid heat removal, and when heated above 300 o C, the wall of the outer lance of the lance is burned. Surfacing begins at a current of (31-42) • b (A), where b is the wall thickness of the outer casing, mm. The current interval is selected from the same considerations as heating: at currents below 31 • b, fusion is not observed on the back side, and at currents above 42 • b, the wall of the outer casing is burned through. In the process of surfacing, the part receives additional heat from the influence of the arc, as a result, its temperature rises, the formation of the seam is disrupted, and with a further increase in temperature, burns of the thin tuyere wall are observed. To prevent this, after surfacing 65% of the weld length, the current begins to smoothly decrease and by the end of weld surfacing its value is reduced by 10-20% from the original. Moreover, with a decrease of less than 10%, overheating of the part is observed, which leads to the defects already described above, and with a decrease in current of more than 20%, a temperature decreases below 200 o C and fusion with a thick part of the tuyere occurs (since the penetration depth in plasma-powder surfacing 0.1 mm). The total total heating and surfacing time should be no more than 2 hours. This is due to the fact that at an elevated temperature the copper tuyere oxidizes quickly and after 2 hours at 200-300 o C it already has a sufficiently thick oxide layer commensurate with the penetration depth at plasma powder deposition method. As a result, during deposition along the oxidized layer, non-fusion and other defects are observed.
The novelty and inventive step of the proposed technical solution is confirmed by the fact that only using this method is possible high-quality surfacing of copper tuyeres of a blast furnace, which can significantly extend their life.
The following is an example implementation of the proposed method. A welded lance made of M1 brand copper is subjected to bead-blasting in the area of the weld connecting the back part with the outer case. The outer diameter of the tuyere is 364 mm, the length is 445 mm, the thickness of the outer casing is 7 mm, the tuyere is fixed to the manipulator, gas heating is carried out to 250 o C for 50 minutes. The heating temperature is controlled using an Hephaestus optical pyrometer. Surfacing begins at a welding current of 250 A, after the lance turns by 65% of its diameter, the current gradually decreases by the end of surfacing to 210 A. The combined heating and surfacing time is 1.7 hours. Surfacing is carried out with a powder of the following composition, wt. 8.2 Sn, 1 Si, 0.8 V, 5 Ni, copper the rest. The thickness of the deposited layer is 3.7 mm, a width of 25 mm.
The advantage of the proposed method lies in the fact that only using this method is possible high-quality surfacing by a plasma-powder method of copper products having different thicknesses.
