Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.複数の基地局に応答する移動局を備えるワイヤレス通信システムを制御す る方法であって: シミュレータにおいて、前記ワイヤレス通信システムに関連するパラメータを シミュレーションする段階; 前記シミュレーションに基づき、前記ワイヤレス通信システムに関連するデー タを生成する段階;および 前記被生成データを利用して、前記ワイヤレス通信システムの特定の状況を制 御する段階; によって構成されることを特徴とする方法。 2.前記制御段階が、基地局において、前記移動局の位置と潜在的干渉源であ るアナログ・ワイヤレス通信システムに関する位置情報とを比較する段階によっ てさらに構成されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 3.複数の基地局のうち任意の1つに応答する移動局を備えるワイヤレス通信 システムにおいて干渉を軽減する方法であって: 前記移動局が干渉を受けることになると判定する段階; および 前記干渉が起こる前に前記移動局が前記干渉を回避するよう、前記移動局を制 御する段階; によって構成されることを特徴とする方法。 4.前記シミュレーション段階が、地理的位置に基づい て、CDMA移動局がアナログ・ワイヤレス通信システムから干渉を受けること になる場所をシミュレーションする段階によってさらに構成されることを特徴と する請求項3記載の方法。 5.前記制御段階が、CDMA移動局にメッセージを送信して、前記アナログ ・ワイヤレス通信システムからの前記干渉が起こる前に、前記CDMA移動局内 の受信機フロントエンド減衰器を動作可能にする段階,CDMA移動局にメッセ ージを送信して、前記アナログ・ワイヤレス通信システムからの前記干渉が起こ る前に、前記CDMA移動局をソフト・ハンドオフに強制的に入れる段階または 前記CDMAワイヤレス通信システムの順方向リンクに関連するパラメータを調 整する段階によってさらに構成されることを特徴とする請求項3記載の方法。 6.拡散スペクトル・ワイヤレス通信システムにおいてソフト・ハンドオフを 実行する方法であって、前記拡散スペクトル・ワイヤレス通信システムが、前記 拡散スペクトル・ワイヤレス通信システムと互換性をもつ複数の基地局のうち任 意の1つに応答する移動局を備える方法であって: ソフト・ハンドオフの候補となる対応する複数の基地局により送信されるであ ろう複数の被受信信号の特性をシミュレーションする段階; 前記複数の被受信信号のシミュレーションされた前記特性を分析する段階;お よび 前記複数の基地局のうち1つの基地局に対して、前記分析に基づき、前記移動 局とソフト・ハンドオフに入るよう命令する段階; によって構成されることを特徴とする方法。 7.複数の基地局に応答する移動局を備えるワイヤレス通信システムを制御す る装置であって: シミュレータにおいて、前記ワイヤレス通信システムに関連するパラメータを シミュレーションする手段; 前記シミュレーションに基づき、前記ワイヤレス通信システムに関連するデー タを生成する手段;および 前記被生成データを利用して、前記ワイヤレス通信システムの特定の状況を制 御する手段; によって構成されることを特徴とする装置。 8.前記ワイヤレス通信システムに関連する前記パラメータが、順方向リンク ・カバレージ,順方向リンク電力レベル,フレーム消去速度(FER),逆方向 リンク・カバレージ,逆方向リンク電力レベル,逆方向リンクFERおよび順方 向リンク制御信号の品質を含むことを特徴とする請求項7記載の装置。 9.ワイヤレス通信システムにおいて用いるシミュレータ/コントローラであ って: 前記ワイヤレス通信システムの状況に関連する有害な将来的事象をシミュレー ションするシミュレータ; 前記有害な将来的事象を回避するように前記ワイヤレス 通信システムを制御するコントローラ;および 前記シミュレーションに基づき、前記制御を調整するマイクロプロセッサ; によって構成されることを特徴とするシミュレータ/コントローラ。 10.前記ワイヤレス通信システムの前記状況が、前記ワイヤレス通信システ ムが異なるワイヤレス通信システムにどのように結合されるか,前記ワイヤレス 通信システムが異なる階層構造を有する同様のワイヤレス通信システムにどのよ うに結合されるか,前記ワイヤレス通信システムがどのように電力制御を実行す るか,前記ワイヤレス通信システムがアンテナ切換/方位設定をどのように実行 するか、および前記ワイヤレス通信システムが通信ハンドオフをどのように実行 するかによってさらに構成されることを特徴とする請求項9記載のシミュレータ /コントローラ。
