Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water from being undesirably discharged by a siphon phenomenon at the time of supplying the water after discharging the water from a washing tank. SOLUTION: A water discharge pump 12 is continuously operated for fixed time and then, intermittently operated. When the water made to flow back to the water discharge pump 12 in the drive stoppage period of an intermittent operation is powerfully sent to a water discharge hose 10 at the time of the next drive, the water remaining in the water discharge hose 10 is discharged little by little and a water level A1 is lowered. Thus, even when the water is supplied to a water level D next, the water level A1 does not reach a peak point P and the discharge of the water is surely obstructed.

When the drive of the drainage pump 12 is stopped, the rising portion 10 of the drainage hose 10 is stopped.
By 3, the discharge is prevented and the state where water is accumulated in the washing tub 11 is maintained.

During the operation of the drain pump 12, the drain pump 12
When the water in the inside is exhausted, so-called air biting occurs, and the ability to further push up the water in the rising portion 103 of the drain hose 10 is lost. The air that has entered by the air bite rises in the rising portion 103 of the drain hose 10, and forms an air pocket from near the peak point P to the falling portion 104 (see FIG. 8).

[0005] When the drainage pump 12 is stopped after the drainage operation for a predetermined time is completed, the rising portion 10 of the drainage hose 10 is turned on.
Since the water of No. 3 flows back into the drainage pump 12, the water level A1 drops. As a result, the water level A2 of the falling portion 104 of the drain hose 10 rises accordingly. Then, as shown in FIG. 9, the balance is maintained in a state where the relationship of A1-B1 = A2-B2 is established. As a result, the water level A1 is maintained at a considerably high position, though lower than immediately before the stop of the drainage pump 12.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION In a washing machine according to the present invention, a pump drive section first operates a drain pump continuously to discharge a liquid in a washing tub to the outside through a drain pipe. When the liquid in the washing tub is almost exhausted, air bite occurs, and air accumulates near the peak point of the drain pipe. The pump drive unit stops driving the drain pump after a predetermined continuous operation time has elapsed. Thus, the liquid that has been pushed up to the rising portion of the drainage pipe flows back to the drainage pump side. The pump driving unit drives the drainage pump again after stopping the driving of the drainage pump for a short time. Then, the liquid that has returned to the drainage pump is sent to the drainage pipe vigorously, and the liquid remaining at the rising part of the drainage pipe moves to the falling part beyond the peak point by being pushed by this. Then, the liquid corresponding to the moved amount is discharged to the outside of the drain pipe.

By the above operation, the amount of liquid remaining in the drainage pipe is reduced. Therefore, when the operation of the drainage pump is stopped next time, the liquid level at the rising part of the drainage pipe is changed to the level of the previous drainage pump drive. Lower than before. By repeatedly driving and stopping the drainage pump, the liquid level at the rising portion of the drainage pipe gradually decreases. For this reason, the next time the liquid is supplied to the washing liquid level in the washing tub, the liquid level at the rising portion of the drainage pipe also rises, but the liquid does not reach the peak point and the liquid is surely at the rising portion of the drainage pipe. Is blocked.

According to the washing machine of the present invention, since much of the liquid remaining in the drainage pipe is drained at the time of drainage, the liquid at the rising portion of the drainage pipe at the end of the drainage operation. The rank goes down enough. For this reason, the next time the liquid is supplied to the washing liquid level in the washing tub, the liquid does not reach the peak point even if the liquid level at the rising portion of the liquid drain pipe rises. Liquid can be prevented from being undesirably discharged.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS One embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. FIG. 1 is an external perspective view of a washing machine according to the present embodiment. A washing tub (not shown) is provided inside the exterior 1, and a drum supported on a horizontal shaft is provided in the washing tub. A door 2 is provided on the front surface of the exterior 1, and clothes are taken in and out of the drum from the door 2. An operation panel 3 is attached to an upper part of the front surface of the exterior 1. By operating various switches on the operation panel 3, each washing process such as washing, rinsing, and dehydration is instructed. A drain hose 10 connected to the washing tub is attached to the back of the exterior 1 so that the middle thereof is higher than the washing water level as in the conventional case.

The processing operation at the time of drainage in the washing machine having the above configuration will be described below. FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating a drive pattern of the drain pump 12 in the present embodiment. After the continuous operation at time t1, the pump drive unit 24 turns on / off the drain pump 12 to perform the intermittent operation in which the drive at time t2 is repeatedly stopped and the drive at time t3 is repeated. Each operation time is appropriately set according to the performance of the drainage pump 12, the size of the washing tub 11, and the like. For example, when the water in the washing tub 11 can be drained in about 2 minutes, the continuous operation for 2 minutes (T1 = 2 minutes), stop for 2 seconds, drive for 2 seconds (t2 = t3 = 2
The desired drainage can be performed by repeating the intermittent operation for several seconds) several times.

To the neighborhood. Even if the drain pump 12 runs out of water, the drain pump 12 continues to operate while the drain pump 12 continues to be driven.
Due to the pressure of the air 2, the water level A1 of the rising portion 103 is at an extremely high position.

During the time t2, the drive of the drainage pump 12 is stopped, and when the water of the rising portion 103 of the drainage hose 10 returns to the drainage pump 12, the pump drive unit 24 drives the drainage pump 12 for the time t3. When the drive of the drain pump 12 is stopped again after the elapse of the time t3, the rising portion 1 of the drain hose 10
Although the water of No. 03 flows back to the drain pump 12 side, since the amount of water is reduced, the water of the rising part 103 and the falling part 104 is located at a position where the water level A1 is lower than the state shown in FIG. Is maintained (see FIG. 5).

Further, when the driving and stopping of the drainage pump 12 are repeated several times as described above, the water level A1 of the rising portion 103 is further lowered. That is, even if the drain pump 12 is finally driven to force the water into the drain hose 10, the amount of water can be reduced until the water in the rising portion 103 does not reach the peak point P.

After the drainage is completed as described above, when the water supply valve 14 is opened to perform the next washing and the water is supplied to the washing water level D in the washing tub 11 through the water supply hose 13, the drainage hose is accordingly Water level A of rising part 103 of 10
One also rises. However, the difference (A1-D) between the water levels A1 and D in FIG. 6 is the difference between the water levels A1 and B in FIG.
1 (A1-B1), which is smaller than the length between the water level D and the peak point P.
1 does not reach the peak point P. Therefore, the water supplied into the washing tub 11 for washing is prevented and held by the drain hose 10 (see FIG. 6).

In the above embodiment, the drain hose 10 is lifted upward in the vicinity of the discharge end 102 to reach the drain port for easy understanding. However, when the inner diameter of the drainage hose 10 is small, the same problem is caused even if the above-mentioned raised portion does not exist, so that the effect of the present invention is exhibited. That is, if the inside diameter of the drain hose 10 is small, the water fills the entire cross section, so that it is difficult for air to enter in the reverse direction of the flow of water, and the water easily stays in the above-described state.
