2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a sealing material, there are a normal temperature type such as an asphalt emulsion and a heating type such as a straight asphalt and a blown asphalt.
The former, which is based on the normal temperature method, has excellent permeability but poor adhesion, has a slow drying time, and has disadvantages such as thin meat due to evaporation of water. The latter heating method requires a high melting viscosity and lacks permeability, so it is a seal only on the surface, so it is easy to peel off, easily burns during work, and requires a special melting device. There were drawbacks such as becoming.

Means for Solving the Problems The inventors of the present invention have conducted intensive studies to overcome the problems of the prior art, and as a result, a building or pavement comprising a granular composition obtained by mixing stearic acid with granular asphalt has been found. The present inventors have found that a material which is spread on the upper surface and whose upper surface is thermally welded by using a heating device is excellent as a sealing material, and completed the present invention.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described.

[0005] Here, the granular asphalt means that the asphalt is made of natural asphalt such as lake asphalt, rock asphalt, sand asphalt, gilsonite, glan pitch, and grahamite, and petroleum asphalt such as straight asphalt, blown asphalt and semi-blown asphalt. And the particle size is 5
mm or less. By the way, the granulation of asphalt may be performed by a known technical means. In addition, the term stearic acid as used herein refers to a substance consisting of a straight-chain saturated fatty acid having 18 carbon atoms, the appearance and shape of which are formed of pale yellow or white crystalline powder, granules, lumps and the like. . Next, the mixing ratio of stearic acid to granular asphalt is as follows: stearic acid 20 to 60 parts by weight with respect to 80 to 40 parts by weight of granular asphalt.
Preferred is by weight. Regarding the method for preparing the composition, in a very simple case, the granular asphalt and the powder or granular stearic acid may be mixed in the above-described mixing ratio. It is good to mix acid. By the way, sand, filler, resin powder, rubber powder, and the like can be used as needed in the composition because of the improvement in tackiness, the prevention of blocking, and the improvement in slip resistance. The composition is then spread on a building or pavement, which can be spread by a spreader such as a broom, rubber rake, board rake, or spreader. When the composition is heated after being spread, a composition using a heating device such as a propane gas burner, an infrared heater, or a microwave can be used. Hereinafter, the present invention will be further described with reference to examples.

Example 1 A granular composition according to the present invention (San-A Co., Ltd., granular asphalt "Asmil, P-31", 60) was provided on the surface of a drainable pavement (porosity of about 20%) comprising an asphalt mixture of open particle size type. Parts by weight and 40 parts by weight of stearic acid TST manufactured by Miyoshi Yushi Co., Ltd.)
Was spread about 0.3 kg / m 2 with a rubber lake, and the upper surface thereof was heated and melted with a propane burner. Then, 0.1 kg / m 2 of No. 6 silica sand was sprinkled on it to prevent slippage, and then opened to traffic. When the state of the asphalt mixture was observed, the voids and recesses of the asphalt mixture were well filled with the composition according to the present invention, and water was sprayed there. The composition according to the present invention showed good sealing properties without any peeling of the composition even after looking after running.

As described above, the sealing material according to the present invention is (1) that it is made of a granular composition, that it is easy to spread and that it does not cause burns during work, and that the sealing material is specially used. No melting device is required. (2) Since the composition is excellent in water repellency, a highly water-tight composition can be obtained. (3) Since stearic acid having a lower melt viscosity than asphalt is used as one of the compositions, the heating time for melting can be shortened, and a highly permeable material can be obtained, so that peeling is performed. Is less likely to occur. (4) While giving plasticity to asphalt to one of the compositions,
Since stearic acid having a higher melting point than that of straight asphalt is used, it can be mentioned that high-temperature flow and low-temperature brittleness, which are disadvantages of asphalt, can be suppressed.
