Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a supporting mechanism so as to improve durability by supporting the tip end of a reverse guide pin which is projected from a support toward a side opposite to a brake disk, to the support through a connecting plate and a support installing bolt. SOLUTION: The lug of a caliper is slidably supported to left and right reverse guide pins 31 screwed into a support 30 which is fixed to a car body side member S by a support installing bolt 34. One end of a belt shaped connecting plate 37 is fixed to the support 30 by a bolt 34, and the other end is fixed to the guide pin 31. Since the tip end of the guide pin 31 is supported to the support 30 through the connecting plate 37, both ends are supported to the support 30 so as to improve strength and rigidity of a bending moment. Its diameter is reduced comparing with that of a conventional reverse guide pin supported in a cantilever beam condition, and looseness is reduced. It is thus possible to reduce the weight of a caliper supporting mechanism, and it is also possible to reduce eccentric abrasion of the guide pin and a bush.

パの振動を低減するために有効なものである。

螺着させて、ブレーキディスク3の反対側に向けて突出
させてあり、このリバースガイドピン2によってブレー
キディスク3を跨いだキャリパ4を摺動自在に支持させ
てある。このリバースガイドピン2によってキャリパ4
はサポート1に移動自在に支持されている。エアチャン
バによるディスクブレーキのようにキャリパにかかる偏
荷重が大きく、そのためにガイドピンが強くこじられる
ものについては、キャリパの左右の耳をリバースガイド
ピンによって支持される。従来のリバースガイドピンは
キャリパの偏荷重によるこじり力、ブレーキトルク等を
支えるものであるが、サポートからブレーキディスクの
反対側に突出させたものであり、しかも片持梁状にサポ
ートに固定されたものであるので撓みが大きい。この撓
みを小さくするためにはその直径が太くならざるを得
ず、また撓みのためにリバースガイドピンの偏摩耗が促
進される等の問題がある。

例を説明する。第一実施例のディスクブレーキの基本構
造は従来公知のものであり、サポート(支持部材)30
に螺着させた左右のリバースガイドピン31、31にキ
ャリパ32の耳33を摺動自在に支持させてあり、サポ
ート30がサポート取付ボルト34によって車体側部材

バ35が取り付けられていて、そのロッドがキャリパ内
部にある偏心カムのレバー36に連結されており、エア
チャンバ35によってレバー36を介して上記偏心カム
