(57)【要約】 【目的】 包装速度を低下させないで横シールのシール
強度を強化する,縦型製袋充填包装方法における横シー
ルの強化方法。 【構成】 連続するウエブFを製袋器1に掛けて筒状に
折上げ両側のウエブ端縁fを合わせて縦シールして包装
筒Hとし、該包装筒H内に被包装物Fを落下充填し、か
つ、包装筒Hの前記充填した被包装物Fの上側と下側を
横シール・カットする縦型製袋充填包装方法において、
前記ウエブFの製袋器1よりも上流側の位置であって横
シール・カット位置から辿って袋長さの倍数の長さに相
当する位置において、横シール・カットを行うためのウ
エブFの間欠停止時にウエブFに幅方向に帯状に予熱す
る。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【発明が属する技術分野】本発明は、包装速度を低下さ
せないで横シールのシール強度を強化する,縦型製袋充
填包装方法における横シールの強化方法に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】従来の縦型製袋充填包装方法は、連続す
るウエブを製袋器に掛けて筒状に折上げ両側のウエブ端
縁を合わせて縦シールして包装筒とし、該包装筒内に被
包装物を落下充填し、かつ、包装筒の前記充填した被包
装物の上側と下側を横二条シールしかつシール間をカッ
トする構成である。従来において、横シールの強度を強
化するにはヒートシールバーのシール温度を高くする
か、又はシール時間を長くとっていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】上述したヒートシール
バーのシール温度を高くして横シールを強化する方法に
よれば、包装速度を低下させないで済むので包装速度が
大きくなるに従いシール時間(ウエブの間欠停止時間内
で確保する)が比例的に短くなるから有効である。しか
し、無駄紙防止のために稼働を一時停止し再び稼働する
ときにヒートシールバーのシール温度が異常に高温とな
りウエブがヒートシールバーに溶着してしまう惧れがあ
るので、ヒートシールバーのシール温度を高くするには
限度があり包装速度の高速化(例えば、毎分100袋以
上の包装速度にすること)に対応できなかった。また、
シール温度を高くしシール時間を短くすると、ウエブを
構成している熱可溶性の内層フィルム同士が十分に溶着
しなくなり外層フィルムとの接着も剥がれる等のシール
不良となり、またウエブを構成している熱町塑性の外層
フィルムにダメージを与えてしまう。また、上述したシ
ール時間を長くとって横シールを強化する方法によれ
ば、包装速度の高速化に対応させることが全くできなか
った。
【0004】本発明は、上述した点に鑑み案出したもの
で、包装速度を低下させないで横シールのシール強度を
強化する,縦型製袋充填包装方法における横シールの強
化方法を提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】本願発明は、連続するウ
エブFを製袋器1に掛けて筒状に折上け両側のウエブ端
縁fを合わせて縦シールして包装筒Hとし、該包装筒H
内に被包装物Fを落下充填し、かつ、包装筒Hの前記充
填した被包装物Fの上側と下側を横シール・カットする
縦型製袋充填包装方法において、前記ウエブFの製袋器
1よりも上流側の位置であって横シール・カット位置か
ら辿って袋長さの倍数の長さに相当する位置において、
横シール・カットを行うためのウエブFの間欠停止時に
ウエブFに幅方向に帯状に予熱することを特徴とする縦
型製袋充填包装方法における横シールの強化方法を提供
するものである。

【実施の形態】以下、本願発明の実施の形態の縦型製袋
充填包装方法における横シールの強化方法を図面を参照
して説明する。縦型製袋充填包装方法は、連続するウエ
ブFを製袋器1に掛けて製袋器1の内側に通された円筒
体2を包むように筒状に折上げかつ円筒体2の側方で両
側のウエブ端縁fを合掌状又は封筒貼り状に合わせて円
筒体2の下方の横シール・カット位置よりも下方に垂下
し、包装を開始して、ウエブ送りの間欠停止時に前記の
両側のウエブ端縁fを縦シール装置3により縦シールし
て包装筒Hとするとともに横シール・カット装置4によ
り包装筒Hに横二条シールしかつシール間をカットし、
さらに、包装箇Hの前記充填した被包装物Fの上側と下
側を横シール・カットする円筒体2内に被包装物Fを落
下させて該包装筒H内に収容された被包装物Fを横シー
ル・カット装置4に付設されたシャッター5で受け止め
た後、縦シール装置3と横シール・カット装置4のシー
ルバーをウエブから離間させ、続いて、ウエブ送り装置
6によりウエブFを下方へ一袋の長さ分だけ移送させて
再び間欠停止し、再び、縦シールするとともに横シール
・カットすることにより、包装筒Hの該包装筒H内に充
填した被包装物Fの上側と下側を横シール・カットして
袋包装品を製造するものである。
【0007】本願発明の実施の形態の横シールの強化方
法は、上述した縦型製袋充填包装方法において、製袋器
1よりも上流側のウエブFを水平面内に移送する位置に
位置調整自在に設けた予熱用シール装置7の開閉自在な
上下一対の予熱用シールバー7a,7bを包装に先立っ
てモータ駆動により又はハンドル操作により位置合わせ
する。この位置合わせは、ウエブFの横シール・カット
位置から上流方向へ辿って袋長さの倍数の長さに相当す
る位置に合わせて予熱用シールバー7a,7bによる予
熱位置が横シール・カット装置4の横二条シール位置と
合致させるものである。そうして、横シール・カットを
行うためのウエブFの間欠停止時に予熱用シールバー7
a,7bを閉じてウエブFを挟み該ウエブFに幅方向に
帯状に予熱する。予熱温度は横シール・カット装置4に
よるシール温度よりも10度ないし20度位低く設定す
る。ウエブFは熱可溶性フィルム(例えばポリエチレン
フィルム)と熱可塑性フィルムの張り合わせであり、予
熱位置におけるウエブFの上面が熱可溶性フィルムであ
り、下面が熱可塑性フィルムである。従って、上側の予
熱用シールバー7aの予熱温度をウエブFの上面層の熱
可溶性フィルムの溶融温度よりも数度低い温度にすると
ともに、下側の予熱用シールバー7bの予熱温度をウエ
ブFの上面層の熱可溶性フィルムの溶融温度と略同一に
するのが良い。こうして予熱された帯状の箇所は、冷め
ないうちに横シール・カット装置4により横二条シール
される。従って、横二条シール位置はシール温度が高く
なりウエブ内面同士のシール溶着が強く行われる。

【発明の効果】以上説明してきたように、本発明の縦型
製袋充填包装方法における横シールの強化方法によれ
ば、横シール・カット装置により横二条シールする時間
を長く確保するものではないから包装速度を低下させな
いで横シールのシール強度を強化することができ、包装
速度の高速化に十分に対応させることができる。

  1. 【請求項1】 連続するウエブを製袋器に掛けて筒状に
    折上げ両側のウエブ端縁を合わせて縦シールして包装筒
    とし、該包装筒内に被包装物を落下充填し、かつ、包装
    筒の前記充填した被包装物の上側と下側を横シール・カ
    ットする縦型製袋充填包装方法において、 前記ウエブの製袋器よりも上流側の位置であって横シー
    ル・カット位置から辿って袋長さの倍数の長さに相当す
    る位置において、横シール・カットを行うためのウエブ
    の間欠停止時にウエブに幅方向に帯状に予熱することを
    特徴とする縦型製袋充填包装方法における横シールの強
    化方法。
