Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.第1及び第2偏光配向を有する反射偏光子と、構造面材料とを備え、又、反 射偏光子は、第1偏光配向を有する光を透過すると共に第2偏光配向を有する光 を反射し、且つ、第2偏光配向は第1偏光配向と異なり、更に、反射偏光子は、 第1及び第2偏光配向の両方に垂直な軸を有し、又、軸に対して第1所定群の角 度内で構造面材料に入る光は反射される一方、軸に対して第2所定群の角度内で 構造面材料に入る光は屈折されて、第2所定群の角度内の光の大部分は、関連す る入力くさびよりも狭い出力くさびを形成し、更に、第2所定群の角度内の角度 は第1所定群の角度内の角度よりも大きいと共に、反射偏光子と構造面材料が一 体構造物を形成する明るさ強化型反射偏光子。 2.構造面材料が平滑面と構造面を有し、更に、複数個の三角形プリズムを構造 面の上に設けた請求項1に記載の明るさ強化型反射偏光子。 3.三角形プリズムが70度から110度の範囲の夾角を有する請求項3に記載 の明るさ強化型反射偏光子。 4.三角形プリズムが大略90度に等しい夾角を有する請求項3に記載の明るさ 強化型反射偏光子。 5.反射偏光子本体が単一の一軸に配向及び延伸された重合体フィルムから成る 請求項1に記載の明るさ強化型反射偏光子。 6.反射偏光子本体が重合体材料の多層堆積から成る請求項1に記載の明るさ強 化型反射偏光子。 7.多層堆積が延伸された結晶性ナフタレンジカルボン酸の層を含む請求項6に 記載の明るさ強化型反射偏光子。 8.多層堆積が延伸されたポリエチレンナフタレートの層を含む請求項6に記載 の明るさ強化型反射偏光子。 9.多層堆積がナフタレン基を含有する重合体の層を含む請求項6に記載の明る さ強化型反射偏光子。 10.多層堆積がコポリエステル又はコポリカーボネートの層を含む請求項9に 記載の明るさ強化型反射偏光子。 11.多層堆積が、設計波長における光の波長の半分に等しい光学厚さを有する 対の層を含む請求項6に記載の明るさ強化型反射偏光子。 12.表示モジュールと、表示モジュールの近傍に配置した明るさ強化型反射偏 光子と、明るさ強化型反射偏光子の近傍に配置した光共振器とを備え、更に、光 共振器は、表示モジュールのための照明源を与えると共に、光共振器に入射する 光に偏光配向のランダム化を付与し、且つ、光共振器に入射する光に方向のラン ダム化を付与する光学表示装置。
