Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vacuum heat insulating material, light in weight and prominent in resistance to pressure, by a method wherein a heat insulating material and an adsorbing agent are covered by a laminate film, then, the rims thereof are sealed and the inside of the sealed laminate sheet is evacuated. SOLUTION: A laminate film 1 is made by laminating at least one plastic layer 2 and one metallic foil (aluminum foil) 3 alternately. Heat insulating material 4 and adsorbing agent 5, consisting of active carbon or zeorite, are covered by the laminate film 1 and the rims of the film are sealed to evacuate the inside of the film. Heat insulating material 4 is made by molding glass wool 7 employing acrylic binder 8 whereby handling is improved and a resistance to pressure is provided. According to this method, a vacuum heat insulating material A, light and strong, can be prepared.
