Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the storage and transportation of mica, prevent the scattering in the compounding of a paving material, uniformize the formulation and shorten the formulation time by including inorganic aggregate particles, an organic resin binder and a material containing mica in a high concentration and dispersed in a dispersing agent. CONSTITUTION: Mica having particle diameter of 10-650μm and a thickness of 0.1-30μm and optionally surface-coated with titanium oxide and/or ferric oxide or colored with a pigment is dispersed in an amount of 15-60wt.% in a dispersing agent to obtain a material containing mica in a high concentration. The material is diluted with an organic resin binder. A paving material is produced by mixing the diluted product with glass cullet or glass cullet and one or more kinds of inorganic aggregate particles selected from among gravel, sand, natural stone, ceramic particles, reclaimed concrete scrap and recycled material.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a mixture of a resin (generally an epoxy resin) as a binder with inorganic aggregate particles such as gravel, natural stone and ceramic particles has been widely used as a water-permeable pavement material. However, there are problems that the soft reflection cannot be performed as a whole and the light is locally reflected, and that the bending strength is poor. Therefore, the applicant of the present invention has developed a material containing mica as a paving material that solves the above problems, and has previously proposed it as Japanese Patent Application No. 7-28049.

However, since mica is a very fine particle having a large aspect ratio, it is liable to scatter during mixing of raw materials and it takes a long time to obtain a desired mixing ratio, and the working environment is deteriorated. There is also a problem that it is difficult to uniformly disperse and mix. Further, there is a problem that storage and transportation of mica is difficult and workability is poor.

The present invention is characterized in that the high-concentration mica-containing material obtained by dispersing the mica in a dispersant is diluted with a binder to adjust the mica content in the paving material. is there. That is, unlike the conventional method, the wet treatment of mica aims to prevent scattering during the preparation of raw materials, achieve uniform dispersion, and facilitate storage and transportation. The content of mica in the high-concentration mica-containing material is set to 15 to 60% by weight. This is because if it is less than 15% by weight, it is separated from the liquid to cause the precipitation of mica, while if it is more than 60% by weight, it becomes impossible to mix it in a uniformly dispersed state.

In addition, as the dispersant, it is basically preferable to use the same solvent as the binder (for example, when the binder is an epoxy resin, the same epoxy resin solvent) from the viewpoint of uniform dispersion during preparation. Most preferred are other asphalt, epoxy resin, acrylic resin, urethane resin,
One or more selected from bisphenol A alkylene oxide derivatives, alkylene oxide derivatives, polyalkylene glycol benzoate and butyl cellosolve can also be used. In this case, impact resistance and water resistance can be improved by using a bisphenol A alkylene oxide derivative, viscosity-temperature characteristics can be improved by using an alkylene oxide derivative, and polyalkylene glycol benzoate ester is used. It is also possible to obtain additional effects such as improving plasticity. In addition, it goes without saying that a curing agent such as polyamine or polycarboxylic acid anhydride may be added in an appropriate amount.

[First Example] Mica having a particle size of 40 to 200 µm, a thickness of 0.4 µm and a surface coated with titanium oxide was dispersed in an epoxy resin at a mixing ratio shown in Table 1 to contain a paste-like high concentration mica. As a result of making a material and examining the separated state of the obtained high-concentration mica-containing material after 24 hours, it was confirmed that the paste liquid did not separate at all and maintained a homogeneous state. In addition, it was confirmed that the prepared raw materials were easy to store and transport, and both were extremely easy to handle. Further, by using this high-concentration mica-containing material, 1.0% by weight of mica and 52.0% of gravel
%, Glass cullet 40.0%, epoxy resin 7.0%
A pavement material was prepared by mixing so as to have a mixing ratio of (main agent: hardening agent ratio of 2: 1). As a result of examining the dispersibility of mica at this time and the bending strength of the obtained pavement material, it was confirmed that both were excellent. As a comparative example, similar tests were carried out for a case where mica powder was directly mixed by a conventional method and a case where mica was dispersed in a high-concentration mica-containing material at a ratio of 10% by weight and 70% by weight. It was also found that it was inferior to the examples.

[Second Embodiment] 30 to 50 mica is added to asphalt (straight 60-80) heated to 160 ° C.

mm of glass cullet 15%, sand 35%, stone powder 6% to 100 parts of aggregate particles, the same asphalt 6 above
Asphalt mixture consisting of 1 part was prepared, heated to 165 ° C., and the above-mentioned high-concentration mica material was added so that the final mica content was 1.0% by weight to prepare a paving material. According to this method, the asphalt mixture and the high-concentration mica material can be mixed in an extremely short time, and there is no scattering of mica as in the past, which is excellent in workability. It was confirmed that the mica was evenly dispersed and had an excellent reflection effect.

As is apparent from the above description, the present invention can prevent the scattering of mica during the mixing of the raw materials, can accurately and quickly obtain a desired mixing ratio, and deteriorate the working environment. It is also possible to prevent reliably, it is possible to perform uniform dispersion mixing in a short time,
Furthermore, the storage and transportation of mica is easy, and excellent workability can be exhibited. Therefore, the present invention greatly contributes to the development of industry as a method for producing a paving material containing mica and a high-concentration mica-containing material that eliminates the conventional problems.
