In such a conventional configuration, in the drying process, the drying heater 12 is energized, and hot air is blown into the drum 5 by the blower fan 13 to heat the clothes in the drum 5. Then, moisture is taken from the clothes, hot air is converted into hot and humid air, and this is passed from the water tank 2 through the second duct 14, and the heat exchanger 15 supplies water from the cooling pipe 15a to dehumidify. At this time, there was a problem that the heat exchange efficiency between the hot and humid air and the cooling water was poor, resulting in poor drying performance.

Fibers contained in the hot and humid circulating air adhere and accumulate on the inner wall of the heat exchanger 15. The fibers are peeled off from the wall, fall into the water tank 2, and adhere to the clothes in the drum 5 again. In addition, the accumulated fibers peeled off from the wall surface may be sucked up by the blower fan 13 and adhere to the drying heater 12 to cause charring.

The operation in the above-mentioned structure will be described. When washing, rinsing and dehydration are completed and the drying process is started, the drum 5 is driven to rotate at a low speed by the motor 7 to loosen the clothes in the drum 5. Further, the drying heater 12 and the blower fan 13 are energized, and hot air is blown into the drum 5 from the front surface of the drum 5 through the first duct 11 and the front surface of the water tank 2. At this time, the clothes in the rotating drum 5 mix with the hot air, deprive the clothes of moisture, and become hot air with high humidity, which flows into the heat exchanger 20 from the side surface of the water tank 2 through the second duct 14.

At this time, the water supply valve 17 is opened, and the cooling water flows through the water supply pipe 16 and flows into the outer duct 22 of the heat exchanger 20. Then, the supplied water flows into the heat exchange chamber 21 through the holes 24 in the outer wall of the heat exchange chamber 21 like a shower. That is, since the humid air passes through the shower, the humid air is deprived of water and becomes dry air, and is sent to the blower fan 13. Then, it is again heated by the drying heater 12 and fed into the drum 5.

Since the cooling water flows in from the entire outer peripheral surface of the heat exchange chamber 21 as described above, it is possible to make efficient contact with the humid air, the dehumidifying performance is good, and the drying time of the clothes in the drum 5 can be shortened. . Further, the cooling water flowing into the heat exchange chamber 21 receives the water tank 2, the drain valve 9, and the drain hose 10.
And is discharged to the outside of the washer / dryer main body 1.

The high-temperature and high-humidity circulating air passes through the second duct 14 and the heat exchange chamber 26 by the blower fan, and then passes through the third duct 1.
It flows to 4a. On the other hand, the cooling water flows from the water supply valve to the outer duct 22 through the water supply hose 16, and the heat exchange chamber 26
The cooling water is discharged from the outer duct 22 in a shower shape. Since the circulating air passes through the shower of the cooling water, the moisture in the circulating air is removed. At this time, since the cross-sectional area of the heat exchange chamber 26 is wider than that of the second duct 14 and the third duct 14a, the flow velocity of the circulating air is 2
At 6, the time becomes slower, the time of contact with the cooling water becomes longer, and the heat exchange is performed more effectively.

The hot and humid circulating air flows to the second duct 14, the heat exchange chamber 28, and the third duct 14a by a blower fan. At this time, the cooling water flowing from the water supply valve through the water supply hose 16 to the nozzle 29 becomes particulate at the portion where the nozzle 29 is narrowed. Then, cooling water in the form of fine particles is poured from the nozzle 29 into the heat exchange chamber 28 from the upper part of the heat exchange chamber 28 in the direction opposite to the flow direction of the circulating air.

As described above, since the nozzle 29 is partly throttled, the cooling water becomes particulate and the heat exchange chamber 28
Since the heat exchange chamber 28 has a mortar-like shape with a wide upper portion, the flow velocity of the circulating air is slowed in the heat exchange chamber 28 and is effective in the entire space of the heat exchange chamber 28. Can exchange heat.

Further, since the heat exchange chamber 28 is tapered like a mortar, it is difficult for the fine fibers in the circulating air to adhere to the wall surface, so that the fibers do not accumulate and flow down easily with the cooling water. The fibers contained in the cooling water are stored in the water tank 2.
Without being deposited on the bottom surface, it is directly discharged through the drain valve 9 and the drain hose 10 to the outside of the washer / dryer main body 1.

At this time, the cooling water is sprayed from the nozzle 32 to the lower tapered portion of the heat exchange chamber 31, where it is scattered in all directions and comes into contact with the circulating air, so that heat can be effectively exchanged. Also, since the center of the heat exchange chamber 31 is wide,
The flow velocity of the circulating air decreases, the contact time with the scattered cooling water becomes longer, heat can be effectively exchanged, and since the upper and lower sides are tapered, it is possible to prevent fine fibers from adhering to the wall surface.

By contacting the circulating air in this manner, heat can be effectively exchanged. Further, since the center of the heat exchange chamber 34 is widened, the flow velocity of the circulating air is reduced to allow effective heat exchange, and the upper and lower sides are tapered to prevent fine fibers from adhering to the wall surface. it can. Further, by separately supplying water from the water supply valves respectively connected to the water supply hoses 16 and 16a, the cooling water is sprayed directly on the wall surface without hitting the center of the heat exchange chamber 34, so that the wall surface can be washed away, and the circulating air on the wall surface Even if the fine fibers inside adhere, the wall surface of the lower tapered portion can be removed cleanly.

As described above, according to the present invention, the main body of the washer / dryer, the water tank provided in the main body of the washer / dryer for storing the wash water, and the drum provided in the water tank so as to be rotatable about the horizontal axis. A motor that drives the drum, a blower fan that circulates air inside the water tank, a first duct that connects the blower fan and the water tank, and a heat exchanger that dehumidifies the air in the water tank. A drying heater provided in the first duct and a second duct connecting the heat exchanger and the water tank are provided, and the heat exchanger circulates through the first duct and the second duct. A heat exchange chamber through which circulating air
A two-vessel structure with an outer duct through which cooling water is provided on the outer periphery of the heat exchange chamber is provided, and the cooling water is allowed to flow into the heat exchange chamber from a large number of holes provided on the outer periphery of the heat exchange chamber. The circulating air can be efficiently heat-exchanged, and the drying time can be shortened.

Further, in the heat exchanger, the cross-sectional area of the heat exchange chamber is made wider than the cross-sectional areas of the inflow side duct and the outflow side duct to the heat exchange chamber. Therefore, the flow velocity of the circulating air in the heat exchange chamber should be slowed down. As a result, the contact time with the cooling water becomes longer, the heat exchange can be performed more effectively, and the drying time can be shortened.

Further, the heat exchanger is provided with a plurality of nozzles so that the cooling water hits the slope of the heat exchange chamber, and when the cooling water is discharged from each nozzle at the same time, the discharged water is approximately in the center of the flow path. Since it is configured to hit, the cooling water can be scattered to every corner of the heat exchange chamber, heat exchange is performed in the entire space of the heat exchange chamber, and an efficient heat exchanger can be provided, Even when the fine fibers contained in the circulating air adhere to the wall surface of the heat exchange chamber, the fibers on the wall surface in a wider range can be removed.
