Conventionally, as a safety fence for this type of escalator, there is one as shown in FIG. In FIG. 9, reference numeral 1 is an entrance / exit of the escalator, and a machine room 2 is provided below the entrance / exit 1. At the time of maintenance and inspection of the machine room 2, the lid 3 is opened, and a worker enters the machine room 2 through the opening 2a to perform work. At this time, a safety fence 100 is erected around the opening 2a so that a person does not fall into the machine room 2 through the opening 2a.

The safety fence 100 has a structure in which a net 102 is stretched over a frame 101, for example, and is normally stored in a storage place different from the work place. Then, at the time of maintenance and inspection of the machine room 2, the worker carries the escalator safety fence 100 from its storage location to the work location and installs it. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 9, a folding safety fence 100 (or a plurality of safety fences) is spread from near the rubber handrail 4 of the escalator, and is erected so as to surround the opening 2a.

In the conventional safety fence 100 configured as described above, a worker must carry the safety fence 100 from a remote storage location to a working location and stand upright at the time of maintenance and inspection. Since it does not happen, there is a problem that the work is troublesome. In addition, since the structure is such that it is simply stood up, when it is hit by the wind or a person, it will greatly move or fall from a predetermined standing position. For this reason, there is also a problem in that there is a risk that an accident such as a person tripping over the moved or collapsed safety fence 100 may cause a fall.

Further, as shown in FIG. 3, a protruding side portion 32b bent to the front side is formed on the left side portion of the frame 32 in the figure. The protruding length L of the protruding side portion 32b is set to be substantially equal to the sum of the thicknesses of the two fence portions 35. On the other hand, the fence portion 35 has a structure in which a plastic plate 33 is mounted in a substantially rectangular frame 36, similarly to the fixed fence portion 31.
The foot 36a is set to be considerably shorter than the long foot 32a.

As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the fixed fence portion 31 and the fence portion 35 are foldably connected by hinges 41 and 42. Specifically, the fixed fence part 3
The end of the frame 36 of the fence 35 was connected to the right end of the frame 32 of No. 1 and the tip of the protruding side 32b by hinges 41 and 42, respectively.
Thereby, as shown in FIG. 3, the two fence portions 35 can be folded to the front side of the fixed fence portion 31, and as shown in FIG. 4, the two fence portions 35 are fixed fence portion 31. It can be opened on both sides.

Next, the operation will be described. When the safety fence main body 30 is not used, the safety fence main body 30 is folded as shown in FIG. 3 and is stored in the fence storage body 10 with the long legs 32a facing downward as shown in FIG. Then, the lid 3 is fitted into the frame body 20 of the opening 2a.

On the other hand, during use, that is, at the time of maintenance and inspection of the machine room 2, the lid 3 is removed and placed on the floor 5 as shown in FIG. Thereafter, the worker pulls out the safety fence main body 30 from the inside of the fence storage body 10, and as shown in FIG. 7, opens the two fence portions 35 so that the safety fence main body 30 has a substantially U-shape in a top view. Then, the fixed fence portion 31 is erected on the upper end portion of the fence container 10.

Specifically, as shown in FIG. 1, the long legs 32a of the fixed fence portion 31 are inserted through the upper opening 10a of the fence container 10. Along with this, the two fences 35 on both sides are opened so as to have a substantially U-shape, the legs 36a of the fences 35 are placed on the floor 5, and the tip of each fence 35 is brought close to the handrail 4 of the escalator. Keep it. As a result, as shown in FIG. 7, the opening 2a is completely surrounded by the fixed fence portion 31 and the two fence portions 35.

As described above, according to the safety fence for the escalator of the first embodiment, the machine room 2 is maintained at the time of maintenance and inspection.
Since the safety fence main body 30 can be immediately taken out from the inside fence storage body 10 and can be erected around the opening 2a,
It is possible to save the labor of carrying the safety fence upright from a storage place far away from the machine room 2 as in the conventional case, and to save labor for the uprighting work.

Here, the fixing state of the safety fence body 30 will be described. As shown in FIG. 1, the long legs 3 of the fixed fence portion 31
2a is press-fitted into the upper opening 10a of the fence container 10.
Therefore, the elastic force of the upper end portion 13 of the standing wall portion 12 is applied to the lower end of the long leg 32a in the arrow A direction, and the drag force of the protruding edge portion 21 of the frame body 20 is applied to the upper portion of the long leg 32a in the arrow B direction. The fixed fence portion 31 receives a rotational force in the arrow C direction. On the other hand, since the foot 36a of the fence portion 35 is placed on the floor 5, a resistance force against the rotational force is generated in the arrow D direction. Therefore, the moments of the safety fence main body 30 as a whole are balanced, and the balance of these moments fixes the safety fence main body 30.

As described above, according to the safety fence for the escalator of this embodiment, since the safety fence main body 30 is firmly fixed upright, for example, a person hits the fixed fence portion 31 and as shown in FIG. Even if the external force F1 is applied to the fixed fence portion 31, the safety fence body 30 does not fall down. Further, when an external force F2 is applied to the fence portion 35, the fence portion 35 may slightly shift in the closing direction, but the safety fence main body 30 as a whole does not fall. Assuming such a load of the external force F2, as shown by the broken line in the figure, if the tip of the fence portion 35 is brought into contact with the handrail 4, the safety fence main body 30 will cause the external force F2.
You can't fall by 2.

Example 2. Next, a second embodiment of the invention will be described with reference to FIG. The escalator safety fence according to the second embodiment differs from the first embodiment in that the fixed fence portion of the safety fence main body can be expanded and contracted in the width direction. As shown in FIG. 8, the safety fence main body is foldably connected to a fixed fence portion 50 that can be expanded and contracted in the width direction by hinges 41 and 42.
It is provided with one fence part 35.

The fixed fence part 50 has a pipe 5 at the upper and lower parts.
The long vertical frames 51, 52 to which the 3, 54 are attached are arranged on both sides, and the upper and lower pipes 53, 54 are connected to the pipe
It has a structure in which 5 is fitted. Specifically, both ends of the upper pipe 55 are slidably fitted into the hollow portions 53a of the pipes 53 of the vertical frames 51 and 52 on both sides, and
Both ends of the lower pipe 55 are hollow portions 54a of the pipe 54.
It is slidably fitted in. Then, a plastic plate 58 is fixed to the upper and lower pipes 55 by a stopper or the like. A protrusion side portion similar to the protrusion side portion 32b shown in FIG. 3 is formed on the left side portion of the vertical frame 52.

As a result, by moving the vertical frames 51, 52 in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 8, the pipes 53, 54 slide in the direction of the arrow along both ends of the upper and lower pipes 55, so that The width can be adjusted. Therefore, by applying the safety fence for the escalator of the second embodiment and expanding / contracting the width of the fixed fence portion 50 corresponding to the width of the opening 2a, the range enclosed by the safety fence main body is adjusted to open the opening 2a. It can be surely enclosed.

As described above, the safety fence for an escalator according to the invention of claim 1 can be immediately set up by taking out the safety fence main body stored in the fence storage body in the machine room at the time of use. As described above, there is an effect that it is not necessary to transport it from a remote storage place to a work site, it can be easily installed in a short time, and workability can be improved. Further, since the safety fence main body is vertically fixed, movement and overturning of the safety fence main body due to a collision of a wind or a person is prevented, and there is an effect that safety can be improved.
