As described above, in the sub-frame 5, the central portion of the bridge portion 6 is formed in a front gate shape so as to sufficiently resist the load in the vertical direction.
The rear mounting portion 7b is formed substantially on the extension of the bridge portion 6, while the front mounting portion 7a is formed so as to project forward from the bridge portion 6, so that the arrow a in FIGS. As shown in FIG. 5, when suspension inputs act from a suspension link (not shown), such as a transverse link, which is connected to the bracket portion 8 provided on the front mounting portion 7a, toward the vehicle body center, the bridge portion 6 is moved.
As indicated by the chain line of 6, the front mounting portions 7a and 7b tend to bend and deform in the upward direction and the sub-frame 5 as a whole bends and deforms in the vertical direction and the front-back direction. However, there is a risk that the connecting rigidity of the transverse link is reduced and the maneuverability is impaired.

In the present embodiment, the vertical wall portion 4a of the dash lower panel 4 is followed by a floor tunnel 3a formed in the front-rear direction from the vehicle body floor 3 to the lower side portion of the dash lower panel 4, and then the vertical wall portion 4a. A bridge plate 6 of the sub-frame 5 is formed by joining a patch plate 9 having a substantially L-shaped cross section that closes the recess 4b formed in the sub-frame 4a to form a closed cross-section 10.
The upper surface of the central portion of the above is superposed on the lower surface of the patch plate 9, that is, the bottom portion of the closed cross section 10, and is fastened and fixed by a bolt 11 and a nut 12.

According to the structure of the above embodiment, the suspension input acts from the transverse links (not shown) connected to the bracket portions 8 provided on the front mounting portions 7a on both sides of the sub-frame 5 toward the center of the vehicle body. Then, since the central portion of the bridge portion 6 is formed in a front gate shape and the front attachment portion 7a is formed so as to project to the front of the bridge portion 6, the bridge portion 6 is bent and deformed upward. Along with this, the front mounting portions 7 on both sides
Although the a and 7a tend to be bent and deformed inward, as described above, the bridge portion 6 overlaps the upper surface of the central portion thereof with the lower surface of the patch plate 9 of the dash lower panel 4 and the bolts 11 and 7a.
Since they are connected by the nut 12, the patch plate 9 restricts the upward bending deformation of the bridge portion 6.

As a result, inward bending deformation of the front mounting portion 7a is also suppressed, and overall bending deformation of the sub-frame 5 in the up-down direction and the front-rear direction is avoided, so that the sub-frame 5 is connected to the bracket portion 8. The connecting rigidity of the transverse link can be secured, and the maneuverability can be improved.

In particular, the patch plate 9 closes the concave portion 4b formed in the vertical wall portion 4a of the dash lower panel 4 to form a closed cross-section portion 10 having high rigidity, and the bridge portion 6 has this closed cross-section portion. Since the closed cross-section portion 10 is directly connected to the floor tunnel 3a of the floor rigid portion, the subframe 5 has a high supporting rigidity in the front-rear direction as well as in the vertical direction. It is possible to more reliably prevent the bending deformation in the up-down direction and the front-back direction.
