Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a discharge method of scum by which the scum floating on a water surface can be efficiently discharged and staying and growth of the scum on the whole surface of a water surface of a sedimentation tank is restrained, in the sedimentation tank having a circular or rectangle water surface and being provided with a feed well in the center. CONSTITUTION: In the sedimentation tank 1 having the feed well 3 in the center, plural set of float type scum skimmers 5 provided in the radiation direction centering around the feed well 3 are successively operated and then the scum floating in the vicinity of the float type scum skimmers 5 is successively collected. Thus, the scum floating over the whole surface of the water surface of the tank is surely discharged outside the tank.

2. Description of the Related Art In the process of treating sewage, when aerating the sewage to perform aerobic treatment, a large amount of foam scum is generated and floats on the water surface of the treatment tank. This foamed scum is that soil bacteria (actinomycetes) aerate and abnormally proliferate, and become foamed scum in the aeration tank. This foamed scum floats above the surface of the final settling basin to make it look unattractive and overflow with the treated water to deteriorate the water quality. As a countermeasure, there is a method of installing a scum skimmer in the treatment tank to eliminate the scum floating on the water surface. Conventionally, a float type scum skimmer has been widely used as a scum discharging device of this type. This scum skimmer stops the device for scum discharge during normal aeration operation time, detects or observes that scum floating above the water level exceeds the allowable level, and at a predetermined time or at any time. The scum skimmer is driven to discharge the scum, and the scum floating on the water surface is discharged.

However, this scum skimmer is usually installed only at one predetermined location in the processing tank. Therefore, the thin film-like scum staying on the surface of the water near the scum skimmer is discharged, but the surface of the water that the suction force of the scum skimmer away from the scum skimmer does not reach and the scum and particle-like particles present on the water surface on the back side of the feedwell. Scum is never discharged. Also, when the scum skimmer is operated intermittently to discharge the scum, the scum floating on the water surface that the suction force by the scum skimmer does not reach is not discharged and the scum stays on the water surface and grows sequentially.
Furthermore, there is a drawback that the water surface above the settling tank is covered with scum when the amount of scum generated is large.

[Operation] In a settling tank with a circular or rectangular water surface, a feed well is provided at the center of the settling tank, and multiple float-type scum skimmers are installed at diagonal positions of the feed well in the center of the settling tank. Therefore, by operating these multiple float type scum skimmers sequentially or simultaneously, the thin film-like scum existing on the entire surface of the sedimentation tank can be reliably discharged from the sedimentation tank without staying on the water surface, and the growth of scum can be prevented. However, scum can be efficiently discharged from the entire water surface of the precipitation tank without impairing the water treatment performance.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The scum discharging method of the present invention will be described below with reference to the embodiments shown in the drawings. In the figure, 1 is a settling tank having a circular or rectangular water surface, a feed well 3 having an inflow pipe 2 directly connected to the center of the settling tank 1, and a treated water overflow along the outer periphery of the settling tank 1. A weir 4 is provided.
The settling tank 1 has a circular shape in the illustrated embodiment, but the water surface is not limited to a circular shape and may be a rectangular shape.

In this settling tank 1, two float type scum skimmers 5 are installed at diagonal positions with respect to the feed wells 3, but even if three or more float type scum skimmers 5 are installed in the radial direction with the feed wells 3 as the center. Good. Float type scum skimmer 5
Comprises a float portion 5a and a scum discharge pipe portion 5b, and an air lift pump 6 is provided by connecting an air pipe 6a directly or via a joint in the scum discharge pipe portion 5b. Although this air lift pump 6 is used as a drive device for scum discharge, this scum discharge can be performed by another method and is not limited to this air lift pump.

Next, the operation and action of the settling tank of the present invention constructed as described above will be described. When the air lift pump 6 is driven by supplying air to the air lift pump 6 provided in the scum discharge pipe part 5b of the settling tank 1 from the air pipe 6a, the water in the scum discharge pipe part 5b rises in this pipe, While being discharged from the scum discharge pipe 7 through the mass 8, the inside of the scum discharge pipe becomes negative pressure, and from the float portion 5a of the float type scum skimmer 5 on the water surface, the precipitation tank 1
The thin film-like scum floating around the water surface of the float type scum skimmer 5 is sucked together with water, and this is continuously performed, and the scum is sequentially discharged out of the system through the same route.

A plurality of float type scum skimmers 5 installed diagonally to the feed well 3 are sequentially operated to form a thin film floating on the water surface of the settling tank 1 and near the scum skimmer. The scum is sucked together with water and discharged out of the settling tank 1 system. In this way, it becomes possible to suppress the staying growth of floating scum on the entire surface of the settling tank 1. In addition, by operating the float type scum skimmer 5 at the same time, the floating scum can be discharged in a short time, and the scum can be discharged more efficiently.
The accumulation and growth of scum on the entire surface of the settling tank 1 can be prevented.

FIGS. 1 and 2 show an example of installation of the two float type scum skimmers, and the present invention is not limited to this configuration, and various installations may be performed depending on the number of installations and the condition of obstacles on the water surface. The position can be adopted.

According to the scum discharging method of the present invention, in a settling tank having a feed well in the central portion, a plurality of float type scum skimmers provided in the radial direction around the feed well are sequentially operated. By doing so, the scum floating on the water surface of the float type scum skimmer near the float type scum skimmer is sequentially collected and discharged to the outside of the tank. Sequentially collected from the surface of the water and discharged from the settling tank, they do not stay in the settling tank, and further, the growth of scum can be prevented and the efficiency of discharging scum from the surface of the settling tank can be increased. In addition, centering on the feed well installed in the center of the settling tank, multiple float type scum skimmers installed in the radial direction are operated at the same time, so that the scum floating on the surface of the tank near the float type scum skimmer simultaneously. Since it can be collected and discharged to the outside of the tank, there is an advantage that the accumulation and growth of scum on the water surface can be prevented and the scum can be discharged efficiently.
