その逃げ場を失うことになるから、自ずと装着部には物
理的破損を招き易くなるものである。この場合、装着部
の設計寸法を例えば、キャップの装着操作を比較的スム
ースに行うべく緩めに設定することで前記破壊を防止す
ることも可能ではあるが、反面、装着不良やペン先の乾
燥を惹起するなどキャップ本来の機能であるエアータイ
ト性の点で満足のいくものが得られないものである。ま
た、キャップ装着時、取付部に力が加わることは、少な
くとも軸筒の装着部及びその近傍に応力を与えることに
なり、軸筒とペン先ホルダーとの取付に悪影響し、ペン
先ホルダーが軸筒より抜けやすくなるといった恐れがあ
った。

の押出成形体等よりなるペン先4をその後方段部3aをも
って保持したペン先ホルダー3は、前記軸筒1の取付部
1cにおいて強固に圧入固着されており、このペン先4は
その後端が、軸筒1内に収容されたインキ吸蔵体5に接
続されている。尚、キャップ2の開口部近傍に周状に突
設されたリブ2aは、前記装着部1bとキャップ2との装着
性をより良好となすべく設けられたリブであり、またこ
のリブ2aよりも内奥に設けられたリブ2bはキャップ2の
エアータイト性を更に向上させてペン先4の乾燥防止を
図るために設けられたリブであるが、いずれのリブ2a、
2bについてもその形成箇所は、前記取付部1cに対して軸
前方に異なった位置に存在することになる。
