外面の装着部に装着した場合、キャップとペン先ホルダ
ーの間に位置された軸筒の装着部及びその近傍には多大
な応力が与えられることになり、同時にこの応力は殆ど
その逃げ場を失うことになるから、自ずと装着部には物
理的破損を招き易くなるものである。この場合、装着部
の設計寸法を例えば、キャップの装着操作を比較的スム
ースに行うべく緩めに設定することで前記破壊を防止す
ることも可能ではあるが、反面、装着不良やペン先の乾
燥を惹起するなどキャップ本来の機能であるエアータイ
ト性の点で満足のいくものが得られないものである。ま
た、キャップ装着時、取付部に力が加わることは、少な
くとも軸筒の装着部及びその近傍に応力を与えることに
なり、軸筒とペン先ホルダーとの取付に悪影響し、ペン
先ホルダーが軸筒より抜けやすくなるといった恐れがあ

自在に装着するための装着部1bが周状に突設されてお
り、またこの先端小径部1aの開口内面には、前記装着部
1bよりも軸方向において後方位置となるようにペン先ホ
ルダー３を止着するための取付部1cが軸心に向かって周
状に突設形成されている。繊維の収束体或いは合成樹脂
の押出成形体等よりなるペン先４をその後方段部3aをも
って保持したペン先ホルダー３は、前記軸筒１の取付部
1cにおいて強固に圧入固着されており、このペン先４は
その後端が、軸筒１内に収容されたインキ吸蔵体５に接
続されている。尚、キャップ２の開口部近傍に周状に突
設されたリブ2aは、前記装着部1bとキャップ２との装着
性をより良好となすべく設けられたリブであり、またこ
のリブ2aよりも内奥に設けられたリブ2bはキャップ２の
エアータイト性を更に向上させてペン先４の乾燥防止を
図るために設けられたリブであるが、いずれのリブ2a、
2bについてもその形成箇所は、前記取付部1cに対して軸
