Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformly control the hot dip metal coating deposition on a steel sheet by providing the nozzles of gas wiping devices of a hot dip metal coating device with plural gas introducing pipes having pressure controllers. CONSTITUTION:Inert gases, such as gaseous N2, are blown from the gas wiping nozzles 5 to the surfaces of the hot dip metal coated steel sheet pulled up from a hot dip metal coating bath to remove the excessively stuck hot dip metal coating baths, by which the deposition of the hot dip metal coating baths on the steel sheet surfaces is adjusted to an objective value. Plural pieces of the gas introducing pipes 2 are arranged between the gas wiping nozzles 5 and headers 1 in such a case and the gaseous pressure controllers 3 are mounted on the respective gas introducing pipes 2, by which the transverse gaseous pressures in the nozzle 5 are unified and the gas blowing pressures from the nozzles 5 to the steel sheet surfaces to be plated are unified. The hot dip metal coating layers of the deposition uniform over the entire surface are easily formed on the steel sheet surfaces.

を設けることによりガス分流室10を複数形成し、この
入口に開閉装置11を設置したものである。気体導入口
より気体供給ボックス8へ導入された気体は開閉装置1
1により圧力を調整され各分流室10へ導かれる。そし
て気体はその圧力を保持したままワイピングノズル6へ
と送られ、その先端のノズルスリットを経てストリップ
へと噴出される。この装置においては、ワイピングノズ
ル6からの気体噴出時にストリップ幅方向に圧力の分布
が存在しており、この分布を制御することにより、鋼板
形状等によらず均一目付けを施そうとするものである。

をメッキ鋼板の状態(例えば反り具合)に応じて圧力制
御装置3によって調節しておくことによって、メッキ付
着量は均一なものになる。
