[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] In the above support structure, the differential case 1 is attached to the axle shaft 52 due to fluctuations in the rotational torque of the propeller shaft 51.
A so-called wind-up resonance occurs around the arrow (indicated by an arrow in the figure), which is input to the vibration-proof bush 3 via the bracket arm 2 as vertical vibration (indicated by an arrow in the figure). This vibration reaches the vehicle floor L from the cross member F2 and excites it, causing a low-speed muffled noise.

In order to reduce the muffled noise, measures are taken such as increasing the thickness of the side member supporting the cross member, increasing the amount of asphalt for damping the floor, or installing a dynamic damper in the differential case. However, there is a problem in that they are not sufficiently effective despite the increase in cost and weight.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The structure of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 1. The differential case support structure of the present invention is a side member F1 extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction.
(FIG. 3) An auxiliary member 4 is installed between the front and rear cross members F2 installed in parallel with the side member F1 and an anti-vibration mount 3 is provided at an intermediate position between the auxiliary members 4. The tip of a bracket arm 2 protruding from the differential case 1 is connected to the.

[Operation] In the above support structure, vertical vibration is input to the vibration-proof mount 3 in accordance with wind-up resonance of the differential case 1. Here, since the vibration-proof mount 3 is provided at an intermediate position of the auxiliary member 4 installed between the cross members F2, the input vibration is dispersed and input to each of the cross members F2. As a result, the vehicle floor L Vibration is reduced and the muffled noise in the passenger compartment is reduced.

[Embodiment] FIG. 2 shows an independent suspension system for the rear wheels of a vehicle. The differential case 1 is disposed in the vehicle front-rear direction, a propeller shaft 51 is connected to the front end thereof, and axle shafts 52 are provided from the left and right side surfaces. It is protruding. Bracket arms 2 and 11 are provided on the top surface and the rear surface of the differential case 1, respectively.
Cylindrical anti-vibration mounts on the top and bottom surfaces of the bracket arm 11
12 is mounted (FIG. 1), and the tip of the bracket arm is connected and fixed to the upper surface of the suspension member F3 arranged in the vehicle width direction by bolts penetrating these.

Cross members F2 are provided at the front and rear positions above the front of the differential case 1 and are provided between side members F1 (see FIG. 3) extending in the front and rear directions on both sides of the vehicle. Of the cross members F2, the one located on the front side has a large cross-sectional shape, and an auxiliary member 4 is provided in the front-rear direction by connecting the centers of these cross members F2.

The auxiliary member 4 has a hat cross-section and is gradually thickened toward the front end (FIG. 1). The tip of the bracket arm 2 extending from the differential case 1 is passed through the tubular vibration-proof mount 3 attached thereto. The bolts are connected and fixed in the hat section of the auxiliary member 4 near the front end thereof.

In the above support structure, when the diff case 1 resonates around the axle shaft 52 in wind-up (arrow in FIG. 1),
This is input to the vibration isolation mount 3 as vertical vibration (arrow in the figure) via the bracket arm 2. The vibration that is partly absorbed by the vibration-proof mount 3 and transmitted to the auxiliary member 4 is dispersed here, and is input to the front and rear cross members F2 with a sufficiently small vibration force. In particular, since the front cross member F2 near the connecting portion of the bracket arm 2 has a large cross-sectional shape, it has a large rigidity and effectively prevents vibration transmission.

As a result, the vibration input to the vehicle floor L from the cross member F2 is sufficiently reduced, and as a result, the muffled noise in the passenger compartment is suppressed to a low level. This effect is shown in FIG.

[Advantages of the Invention] As described above, according to the support structure of the present invention, the auxiliary member is provided between the front and rear cross members, and the tip of the bracket arm of the differential case is connected and supported at an intermediate position between the cross members through the vibration isolating mount. As a result, the input vibration from the differential case is dispersed, and the muffled noise of the vehicle can be significantly reduced without causing a significant increase in cost or weight.

Further, according to the present invention, since the vibration isolating mount is not installed on the lower surface of the cross member as in the prior art, it is possible to increase the cross section of the cross member within the limit of the vehicle height regulation and to make the tubular vibration isolating mount of the cross member. By increasing the size, the spring constant can be reduced, and this also reduces the muffled sound.

Furthermore, since the position of the vibration isolation mount moves upward compared to the conventional case, the bracket arm length can be increased, and as a result, the vibration input to the vibration isolation mount is reduced,
This also has the effect of contributing to the reduction of muffled sound.
