Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of an abnormality expected when a peculiar operation, where only small number of specific contacts are used intensively, is sustained by counting the number of switching times of each tap, storing the count, and delivering an alarm when the count exceeds a preset value. CONSTITUTION:The number of switching times of each tap or each fixed contact is counted based on a signal generated when an electromagnetic switch 1 for step-up/step-down operation in a motor operation mechanism 7 is excited by a switching command unit provided in an external control board and a signal delivered from a tap indication unit 11 for tap position detection being driven upon actuation of the mechanism. The count is recorded and indicated. When a prescribed count is reached, the count is indicated and an alarm is delivered.

2. Description of the Related Art Generally, a load tap changer comprises a load tap changer, such as a switching switch, an electric operating mechanism, and a transmission device for mechanically joining them to transmit power. When the load of the power transmission and distribution system to which the switching transformer is connected fluctuates, if the voltage change corresponding to the fluctuation exceeds a certain value, the electric switching mechanism is operated by the switching signal from the switching signal generator to tap the load tap changer. When the load is switched, the taps provided on the tap switching transformer are switched to keep the voltage of the power transmission and distribution system constant.
This power transmission / distribution system is often the main trunk line, and in the unlikely event that the tap switching device under load fails, there is a risk of power failure over a wide area and adverse effects. Failures of the load tap changer are roughly classified into abnormalities in the load tap changer body and an abnormality in the electric operation mechanism and control panel. In the former case, it may lead to a serious accident. As a result, when switching is performed only with a specific fixed contact of a plurality of tap selectors, only the specific contact is worn, the contact force is reduced, and eventually discharge may occur. .

Conventionally, the number of times of switching of the tap changer during load has been counted only by the total number of taps by a frequency counter provided in the electric operating mechanism. This is effective for determining the electrical or mechanical life of most of the parts that operate at each switching, but in the case of a tap selector contact that operates only randomly, the average of all taps is used. Although it is possible to calculate the value, it is not possible to determine the true number of switchings at each fixed contact.

FIG. 2 shows a schematic diagram of a configuration example of a load tap switching device. In the figure, tap selector
Reference numeral 10 has a plurality of fixed contacts (not shown, for example, 10, 12, 14, 16 or 18 contacts) corresponding to the voltage adjustment range of the transformer. No) allows you to select the taps as appropriate. Further, since the tap selector 10 does not cut off the current, the life of the contact is limited by the number of mechanical changes. According to domestic standards, the mechanical life of contacts is 800,000 times, and if a 10-contact tap changer under load is taken as an example, it will be 80,000 times per contact. Normally, the life performance of a tap selector is verified under the condition that all fixed contacts are used uniformly, but the condition in the field is not always this, and only a few fixed contacts are concentrated. It may be used for some purposes. In such a case, it is conceivable that the cumulative number of switching operations will reach the end of its service life at least at the particular fixed contact of the tap selector 10. In the current load tap changer, only the electric operation mechanism 7 is provided with a counter for displaying the total number of changes. Therefore, the number of times each fixed contact of the tap selector 10 is changed is estimated from the operation pattern. There is no other way to confirm. For this reason, it is possible that a certain fixed contact of the tap selector reaches the end of its life without knowing it, and suddenly an accident occurs due to being unable to energize.
