おいて再度前記と同様のテレビジョンチャンネルを受信
した場合に、前記バッファメモリに記憶されているテレ
ビジョンチャンネルの文字番組データを消去せずに、こ
の文字番組データに基づいて提示を行う文字放送受信装
置であって、 前記バッファメモリに記憶されたテレビチャンネル番号
を記憶するメモリ手段と、 前記装置で受信したテレビジョンチャンネルから任意の
テレビジョンチャンネルに切り換えて受信する際に所定
時間を計数するタイマーカウンタ手段と、 前記タイマーカウンタ手段により所定時間経過後に、文
字信号を検出する検出手段と、前記バッファメモリに記
憶された文字データを消去する手段と、この文字データ
の消去後に任意に切り換えられたテレビジョンチャンネ
ルの文字データを新たに前記バッファメモリに記憶する
手段とを具備し、これらの手段を前記タイマーカウンタ
手段及び前記メモリ手段とを用いて制御する手段であっ
て、前記タイマーカウンタ手段により所定時間が計数さ
れ、且つこの計数が終了した際に、前記検出手段により
文字信号を検出し、次いで前記消去手段を用いてバッフ
ァメモリに記憶された文字データを消去し、その後、切
り換えられた任意のテレビジョンチャンネルの文字デー
タを新たに前記バッファメモリに記憶するように制御す
