て(第7図参照)、ドレンパン18を固定するとともに、
熱交換器12の下縁とケース前壁11fとの間をケースの長

なって下流端部18bへ向かってドレンパン18を流下し、

へ突出させて、上流端部18aで機外連結管12aから落下す
る結露水を受けるようにするとともに(第4図参照)、
各端部18a,18bのうち高圧部3のケース1に設けた蓋部5
l,5rで塞ぐ一方、低圧部4をケース1に設けた開口部6
l,6rで開口させている(第4,5図参照)。なお、上記空
気調和機のその他の構成は、第6図で述べた従来のもの
と同一である。 上記構成の空気調和機のドレンパンの働きは、次のとお
りである。 隔板2で仕切られたドレンパン18の高圧部3側には、主
としてケース1内の熱交換器12に結露した水滴が落下し
て溜まる。高圧部3側に溜まった結露水は、高圧部3の
両端部18a,18bがケース1の蓋部5l,5rで夫々塞がれてい
るので、両端部18a,18bへ押し流されて集中することは
なく、ケース1外へ噴出して、ドレンパンの浅い上流端
部18aの壁を越えて溢れ出すこともない(第4図参
照)。つまり、高圧部3内は均一に高圧(例えば、静圧
8mmAq)なので、溜まった結露水は、低い下流端部18bに
向かってドレンパン18を流下し、一部は隔板2の下縁の
僅かな隙間から低圧部4側へしみ出し、一部は第5図の
如く蓋部5r下端の僅かな隙間から外方へしみ出す。 一方、隔板2で仕切られたドレンパン18の低圧部4側に
は、第4図の如く熱交換器12の機外連結管12aから落下

部18bの排出口20から第5図の如く機外に排出される。 このように、本考案によれば、機外静圧の大きい空気調
和機においても熱交換器12に生じる結露水のドレンパン
18からの噴出や外部への溢れ出しを確実に防止でき、結
露水を下流端部の排出口20から円滑に排出することがで
きる。
