Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent breakage or contact failure by rotation force of a grounding terminal at a device side connector element by composing a positioning member of a cylindrical ring for grounding to be engaged in a rotation stopping recessed part in a hole of a housing. CONSTITUTION:A connector terminal A is inserted into a hole 10 of an insulation housing 9 of a device side connector, and positioning members 11, 12 at both ends on the aperture side of a cylindrical ring 4 for grounding are engaged in recessed parts 13 for stopping rotation in the hole 10. When rotation force is transmitted from the coaxial cable side, the rotation force is received between the recessed part 13 and the positioning member 11, 12, and rotation of a ring 4 is prohibited. The rotation force is thus prevented from being transmitted to a grounding terminal 4a, thereby breakage of the terminal 4a is prevented.

When the device side connector is mounted and fixed on the device side printed circuit board 6, when a twist or a rotational force is applied to the cable due to vibration or the like,
The rotational force is transmitted to the grounding cylindrical conductor 3 and the cylindrical ring 4 of the device-side connector via the grounding external contact 7 on the cable side. As a result, this torque is applied to the ground terminal 4a.
In some cases, the thin ground terminal 4a was broken.

The elastic force of the cylindrical ring 4 clamps the outer periphery of the cylindrical conductor 3 for grounding. However, the elastic force alone cannot provide a sufficient clamping force, and as a result, the cylindrical conductor 3 is grounded. The point contact between the cylindrical ring 4 and the cylindrical ring 4 is likely to cause poor contact. Moreover, as described above, when the rotational force is transmitted from the cylindrical conductor 3 to the cylindrical ring 4, the contact state changes, which easily causes noise.
