Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は陰茎および陰嚢を収める容器状構いの役目をす
るようにした男性用失禁安全装置の製造方法に関するも
のである。
今日まで使用されてきた失禁安全装置は実質的に平面の
設計になる在来型おむつの形、例えば、長方形につくら
れているのが一般的である。しかし、これらの失禁安全
装置はこの目的が糞便のみならず尿を吸収することにあ
るので、尿を集める失禁安全装置のみを必要とする人々
には役立たない。要するに、こうしたおむつの吸収部分
は十分な吸収容量を与えるためある程度の幅と厚みがな
ければならない。結果はこのおむつのために相対的に両
脚間の距離が大きくなり、このためおむつの着用者に擦
傷など不快感をあたえる。さらに、おむつがずぶぬれに
なり着用者の股間で圧縮される場合にはおむつの縁に尿
が浸み出る危険が大きい。
かさ高くて身体にうまく適合しないおむつは失禁に困つ
ているかまたその他身体の不自由な男性には向かない。
しつくりしないおむつの着用で起る不快感に加えて、普
通の衣服にはこうしたおむつ用の空間がないので、これ
が精神的苦痛をあたえる。
失禁安全装置を比較的小さな容器として設計する技術は
それ自体公知で、この容器は単に使用者の陰茎を包むだ
けの目的に役立ち、液不透性材料の外層とこの容器内に
配置された吸収材料とよりなる。しかし、この種の防護
は陰茎が容器内に配置され絶えず容器中に閉じ込めたま
まにしておける通常寸法である男性の場合に限り防護の
機能を果すものである。さらに、このような安全装置は
軽症の失禁者、即ち僅かな量の尿滴しか漏さない使用者
に対してのみ適当である。
しかのみならず、管状ケーシング内におさまらない程ひ
どく萎縮した陰茎を持つた高齢者用の適当な失禁安全装
置の設計に関しては特有な問題がある。
スウエーデン国特許明細書第426206号から公知の失禁安
全装置の場合では、小さい、または萎縮した陰茎の使用
者にも容器状安全装置を保持させる問題を陰茎の基部の
範囲内で身体にぴつたり合う失禁安全装置を設計するこ
とにより克服して容器状安全装置をより安全に保持しよ
うとする試みがおこなわれた。
上記明細書の安全装置は二対の対向縁を備えた平らな管
部分として行使される。この管は三辺の縁が閉じられ、
第四辺の縁が開いたままにした実質的に平行四辺形の形
をしている。従つて、開口部には一つの鋭角と一つの鈍
角の隅部が得られる。この装置を用いている間は、鋭角
の隅部を上向きにし、鈍角の隅部を下向きにしなければ
ならない。開口縁を容器の縦方向に対し直角に配置させ
た他の先行技術の尿集納器とは反対に、上記明細書の装
置における開口の側縁は陰茎の基部の各側で斜上方に延
び、この配置は陰茎の寸法がやや小さい場合でも安全装
置を固定させておく可成り安全な装置を提供すると言わ
れている。
上記明細書の失禁安全装置はその機能を必ずしも十分に
満足させるものではなく所定位置から簡単に滑つてずれ
る。重大の欠点はこれらの安全装置は比較的硬くて着用
者の体形になじまないことである。また、その容量はし
ずく状に失禁する着用者に限つて十分という程度であ
る。
装置の容量がしずく状失禁者には十分間に合うというこ
とは陰茎のみを容れるのに利用される集容器よりなる先
行技術の全ての失禁安全装置について言えることであ
る。
重症の失禁使用者に対しては、陰茎だけを容れるように
したこのような容器状吸収体はその目的にそぐわない。
重症者の場合、時には数デシリツトルに達する尿量は大
きな集容器を必要とする高吸収能力を要求するので、こ
の大きな集容器をただ陰茎の周りにかぶせるのでは、あ
まりにも見苦しく見えることになろう。
さらに、スエーデン国特許申請第8303663−２号には、
身体になじみ陰茎および陰嚢を包む男性用失禁安全装置
が教示されている。この安全装置は前側部と、後側部分
と、これら相互に連結された前側および後側部分よりは
幅が狭く、容器状安全装置の底の役目をする結合中間部
分とを有する。この安全装置は着用者の陰茎および陰嚢
を収めるようにつくられているので、装置の後側部分に
は端縁から延びるスリツトまたは切込みが設けられてい
る。両スリツト側にスリツトまたは切込みによつて形成
された後側部分の翼部分は陰方嚢の下側で身体に取付け
られている。このように、安全装置は使用者の陰茎が小
さくてもずつと安定的に保持されると共に不格好になら
ずに装置は十分な吸収能力を備えることができる。
上記スエーデン国特許申請第8303663−２号の安全装置
はその製造が複雑という点で基本的欠点がある。今一つ
の欠点は装置の形が不規則なことで、包装を難しくして
いる。
しかし、本発明では男性の身体によく適合し同時に製造
および包装が非常に簡単な失禁安全装置が達成された。
本発明の失禁安全装置の主たる特徴は実質的に長方形の
基本形で折りたたまれた状態で用いて安全装置を構成す
る吸収層と、この吸収層に固定され折り重ねられた吸収
層の平らな両外面を囲む液不透性ケーシングと、吸収層
の折りたたみ縁と、折りたたみ縁に近い縁とよりなり、
上記ケーシングは折りたたまれた層間のすき間に残りの
二つの縁を通したままにさせていること、上記により失
禁安全装置は上記ケーシングで閉じられた二つの縁のう
ち短い方の縁を他方の閉じられた縁に対して折り重ねる
ことにより使用状態になり、この状態で装置は多少とも
円錐形の容器を形成することである。
本発明は失禁装置の分野内での重要な進歩である。実際
は、本発明では例えば在来の長方形おむつのごとき吸収
体とこの表面の一方に用いたプラスチツクフイルムとか
ら失禁安全装置を造ることが可能である。これは吸収体
をプラスチツクフイルムと共に折り重ねこれを折り重ね
た状態で一側に沿つて密封することだけでできる。着用
する場合、装置は簡単に折り重ねられて身体に順応した
安全装置が形成される。この場合、身体への順応性自体
は安全装置の最も長い開いた縁に沿つて装置使用中は陰
茎の基部周りを密封する柔く丸味をつけた開口部を形成
するようにした初期応力のある状態で用いられる弾性部
材を設けることによりさらに改良される。
本発明を実施例について添付の図面を参考に以下に詳述
する。
第１図は繊維布帛製の覆いに囲まれたセルローズ吸収体
よりなる長方形おむつ１である。この吸収体はプラスチ
ツクフイルム２の中心部に用いられていて、フイルム２
の側縁部分3,4は吸収体を越えて横へ延び、中央部分は
ホツトメルトにより吸収体に適当に接着されている。
失禁安全装置をつくるには、縁部分３を先ず吸収体に折
り曲げてかぶせて接着する。次に、吸収体とプラスチツ
クフイルムとを共に折り曲げる。縁部分４の共に折り曲
げた重なり合つた部分は接着または溶着によつて接合
し、次にこれらの接合部分を折り重ねた吸収体の縁部分
の周りに曲げてその位置に接着固定する。こうして得た
失禁安全装置を第２図および第３図に示す。
第２図に示した状態では、安全装置は均一の厚さで、こ
のようにして安全装置を相互に積み重ねて多重包装体を
造ることができる。
第２図の失禁安全装置は折り重ね縁５を他方の閉じられ
縁６にあてて押圧することによつて簡単に使用状態にな
る。このようにして、失禁安全装置は開けられ、第４図
に示す使用状態になり、折り曲げられた装置の底部分は
多少とも円錐形の容器７を、また上側部分は尿のはね返
りよけ部８を形成する。
上記円錐形底部分は着用者の股内にはいり込んでも擦傷
をおこす危険はないので、尿のはね返りよけ部分８の方
は腹部上まで延びる。失禁安全装置の設計のせいで、内
蔵した吸収体の寸法は非常に厚くなるが、かさばらず着
用して不快感を覚えることはない。
本発明の安全装置の第５図の別の実施例に示すごとく、
初期応力を与えられた弾性糸または弾性バンド９が吸収
体より先きへ出ている一方の縦方向に延びる側縁部分３
に固定される場合、柔かに丸味をつけた開口部分10が得
られるが、この部分は上記弾性糸またはバンド上に折り
重ねられて安全装置を使用中陰茎の基部に面する開口縁
を形成する。
吸収体およびプラスチツクフイルムの幅とに対し長方形
の寸法と長さを選ぶことに関して、多少とも円錐形の容
器の寸法および延長と尿のはね返りよけ部を任意に選ぶ
ことができる。陰茎の萎縮した着用者にとつては、はね
返りよけ部８が長くて腹部上まで十分に延びていること
は特に重要である。
本発明の失禁安全装置は好ましくは安全装置を所定位置
に固定させておく弾性パンツと組合せられる。
本発明は叙上の実施例に限定されるものではなく多数の
変態型が付属の特許請求の範囲内において考えられる。
吸収体材料は必ずしもフラツフパルプ（fluffpulp）と
する必要はなく他の何等かの材料にすることも可能であ
る。薄い安全装置を望む場合は吸収体はシート状に接着
した材料、例えばシート状に接着した吸収性の高い材料
でつくることもできる。
所望によつては、多少とも円錐形となる容器の先端は吸
収体をやや斜めに折りたたむことによつてその尖度を小
さくすることができる。
以上に記載図示した安全装置は長方形吸収体とこれに対
応するプラスチツク層とでつくられている。所望によつ
ては、円錐形容器は長方形吸収体の部分をこの長方形ブ
ランクの中心、または中心付近で完全な長方形から一方
向に横へ突出させることによりはね返りよけ部の寸法に
対しては上側の方を幅広くすることができ、折り重ねた
ブランクはかくして折り重ね線に近い部分が最も幅広く
なつている。

グ、3,4は側縁部分、５は折り重ね縁、６は折り重ね縁
５に近い縁、７は円錐形容器、８は側縁、９は弾性部分

Claims (2)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】長方形の吸収性層と長方形の液不透性層と
    を、この液不透性層の一側縁が隣接する前記吸収性層の
    側縁を越えて延びている状態で、互いに固定し、 このように互いに固定された層を、前記液不透性層の前
    記一側縁に対して直角である折り曲げ線のまわりに前記
    液不透性層が外側になるように折り重ねることにより、
    前記液不透性層の前記一側縁を二つの長さ部分となして
    これらを平行な並置位置にもたらし、 このように並置位置にもたらされた前記液不透性層の前
    記一側縁の前記の二つの長さ部分のみを互いに、前記折
    り曲げ線に直角であり前記折り曲げ線の一端においてこ
    の折り曲げ線と交わる固着線に沿って、固着する ことを特徴とする男性用失禁安全装置の製造方法。
  2. 【請求項２】固着される前記一側縁とは反対側の前記液
    不透性層の側縁に沿って長さ方向に延びた細長い弾性部
    材を初期応力のある状態で前記液不透性層に固定するこ
    とを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第１項に記載の男性用失
    禁安全装置の製造方法。
