A polishing disk of the present invention is formed by cutting a disk body from respective starting points that equally divide the circular outer peripheral edge of the polishing sheet into a plurality of arcs toward the center of the polishing sheet. Each section formed between the cuts arranged in a radial pattern, the inner end of the cut adjacent to the cut on the rotation direction side, and the starting point of the cut adjacent to the cut on the side opposite to the rotation direction. It has a configuration in which a plurality of folded polishing pieces each formed by folding back in a double fold with the diagonal line connecting the two as folds being arranged in a rotationally symmetrical manner in the circumferential direction.

As described above, according to the present invention, when the polishing disk is rotated to polish a work having a concave curved surface, the folding polishing pieces are sequentially and firmly pressed against the concave curved surface by centrifugal force. Thus, a part of each feed-lapped polishing piece is bent and deformed according to the shape of the concave curved surface, and the work of each shape can be effectively polished. Especially,
When polishing the inner surface of a recess such as a groove or valley having an angular inner corner, the protrusion of the folding polishing piece that protrudes into the recess is bent and deformed according to the cross-sectional shape of the recess and becomes dense within the recess. Since each folded polishing piece slides in contact with the inner surface of the recessed portion in the fitted state, the inner corner of the recessed portion can be effectively polished, and the entire recessed portion can be uniformly and effectively polished. Therefore, it is possible to improve the efficiency and labor of the polishing process for the work having the recesses of each shape. In addition, the production of polishing discs can be simplified, and the number and size of folding polishing pieces can be arbitrarily selected according to the shape and material of the work piece, and the folding piece has flexibility to adapt to polishing work of various works. A polishing part can be formed.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. The polishing disk D for polishing various works W such as wood products, synthetic resin products, and metal products is a flexible disk formed by polishing paper, polishing cloth, or the like having abrasive grains coated on one side surface. The main body 1 and the holder 2 in which the central portion of the disc main body 1 is sandwiched and fixed are provided, and the disc main body 1 is attached to the rotary shaft 3 via the holder 2.

Next, the operation and effect of the embodiment having the above-mentioned structure will be described. In this example, the disk body is cut in a radial direction from each of the starting points 6 that equally divides the circular outer peripheral edge 10a of the polishing sheet 10 into a plurality of arcs toward the center 4 of the polishing sheet 10. Each piece 8 formed between the cuts 5 is connected to an inner end 7 of the cut 5 that is adjacent to the cut 8 on the rotation direction side and a starting point 6 of the cut 5 that is adjacent to the cut 8 on the opposite rotation side. Fold the diagonal line 9
As a result, a plurality of folded polishing pieces 11 each of which is folded back into two and shaped are arranged in a rotationally symmetrical manner in the circumferential direction.

For this reason, when the polishing disk D is rotated to polish the work W having the concave curved surface W1, the folding polishing pieces 11 are sequentially pressed firmly against the concave curved surface W1 of the work W by centrifugal force to feed each workpiece. Since a part of the overlaid polishing piece 11 is bent and deformed according to the shape of the concave curved surface W1, the work W of each shape can be effectively polished.

In particular, as shown in FIG. 7, when the inner surface of the groove M having a right-angled inner corner is polished, the protrusion 11a of the folding polishing piece 11 that protrudes into the groove M has the same cross-sectional shape as the groove M. Since each folded polishing piece 11 slides in contact with the inner surface of the groove M in a state of being bent and deformed to be tightly fitted in the groove M,
The inner corners of the groove M can be effectively polished, and the entire groove M can be uniformly and effectively polished. Therefore, it is possible to improve the efficiency and labor of the polishing process for the work having the recesses of each shape.

Further, since each folded polishing piece 11 can be formed only by cutting the cut 5 in the polishing sheet 10 and folding each piece 8 in two, the production of the polishing disk D can be simplified. At the same time, the number and size of the folding polishing pieces 11 can be arbitrarily selected according to the shape and material of the work to form the folding polishing portion 11 having the flexibility to adapt to the polishing process of various works.
