In brief, the weather strip 1 includes a holding groove 2 formed in an inner end portion of a window frame 2 of a vehicle body and having a substantially rectangular cross section.
a channel-shaped main body 3 held in a, and the main body 3
A pair of substantially inverted octagonal seal lips 5 and 6 formed on the upper surface 4a of the upper piece 4 along the longitudinal direction, and a pair of inner side lower end pieces 7 and 8 of the main body 3 so as to inwardly oppose each other. The holding lips 9 and 10 are adapted to sandwich and seal both side surfaces of the tip 11a of the window glass 11 that has entered the main body 3 from below. On the other hand, in the lips 5 and 6, when the tip portion 11a of the window glass 11 pushes the upper piece 4 lower surface 4b of the main body 3 as shown in FIG. 2, the tip portions of the seal lips 5 and 6 become the holding grooves 2a. The space 12 between the bottom surface 2b is sealed.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION Problems to be Solved by the Invention By the way, in a window frame structure of an automobile recently, a step between a vehicle body opening edge and a windshield is provided in order to reduce air resistance and prevent wind noise. There is a demand for a so-called flash surface to be sufficiently reduced. Therefore, in order to satisfy the demand for such a flash surface, improvement of the weather strip is also required.

However, in the above-mentioned conventional weather strip 1, although the sealing property of the vehicle body opening edge is obtained by the seal lips 5 and 6 and the holding lips 9 and 10, the window glass 11 is simply attached to the lower surface 4b of the upper piece 4 of the main body 3. Since the contact is made only from the substantially vertical direction, the requirement for the flash surface cannot be satisfied.

Therefore, for example, as in the device disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 59-98076, metal guide members are provided on the inner and outer surfaces of a holding piece that rises inward at the lower end of one sidewall of the weatherstrip body on the vehicle interior side. There is also provided a structure in which the upper end portion of the window glass is guided by the guide member in the vehicle exterior direction along the shape of the guide member.

However, in this invention, since the guide member is formed of a metal material having high rigidity, the sliding resistance between the upper end portion of the window glass and the guide member and the like at the time of closing the window becomes large, and the smooth movement of the window glass is prevented. Movement to the outside of the car is hindered.

Moreover, since a guide member separate from the weather strip is used, the number of parts is increased, and the manufacturing work efficiency is lowered and the manufacturing cost is inevitably increased.

Means for Solving the Problems The present invention has been devised in view of the above-mentioned conventional problems, and includes a main body held by a window frame of a vehicle body and an upper surface of an upper piece of the main body. In a weather strip having a seal lip that abuts a bottom surface of a window frame, a bent lip vertically provided on the lower surface of the upper piece of the main body has a thin fixed end portion fixed to the vehicle inner side of the lower surface of the upper piece. A base portion that is vertically inclined downward from the fixed end portion toward the outer side of the vehicle, and a bottom edge edge of the base portion that is bent upward to the outer side of the vehicle so as to be inclined so that the edge of the window glass abuts when the window is closed. It is characterized by having a tip part.

Effect According to the present invention, when the window glass that has entered the inside of the main body from below when the window is closed presses the lower surface of the tip of the bent lip at its upper end, the entire bent lip is centered on the thin fixed end. In addition to bending and deforming to the outside of the vehicle, the tip also bends and deforms so as to rise upward outside the vehicle. Therefore, the upper end of the window glass is pushed out of the vehicle by the elastic reaction force of the entire bending lip while slidingly contacting the lower surface of the tip of the bending lip, and moves to the outer end surface side of the window frame.

Further, when the window glass reaches the highest position, the seal lip of the upper piece of the main body is brought into pressure contact with the lower surface of the window frame to reliably seal the space between the window frame and the main body.

That is, the weather strip 21 of this embodiment includes a channel-shaped synthetic resin or rubber main body 24 held in the holding groove 23 of the window frame 22, an upper surface 25a of the upper piece 25 of the main body, and a longitudinal direction toward the outside of the vehicle. A pair of seal lips 26, 26 standing upright along the bottom of the holding groove 23 and abutting against the bottom surface 23a of the holding groove 23, one inner side piece 27 of the body 24 and the other lower side inner side piece 28 of the vehicle outer side. And a pair of gripping lips 30 and 30 which are provided so as to be opposed to each other inwardly and whose front ends pinch both side surfaces of the end portion 29a of the window glass 29. Fitting grooves 32, 32 are formed on the outer surfaces of the both side pieces 27, 28 so as to be fitted and supported by the vehicle inside and outside supporting pieces 31a, 31b forming the holding groove 23.

A bending lip 33 is integrally provided on the lower surface 25b of the upper piece 25 of the main body 24. This bent lip 3
3 has a substantially V-shaped cross section, and has a relatively thin fixed end 34 disposed inside the lower surface 25b of the upper piece 25 and inclined from the fixed end 34 toward the outside of the vehicle. The depending base portion 35 is also disposed slightly inside the vehicle from an extension line X in the entry direction of the window glass 29 that enters the inside of the main body 24 from below. Further, the tip end portion 36 that is bent and rises from the lower end edge of the base portion 35 is provided in an inclined shape toward the outside of the vehicle, and substantially the entire portion except the bent portion is disposed outside the extension line X on the outside of the vehicle.

Therefore, according to this embodiment, when the window is closed, the window glass 2 is inserted into the main body 24 from below.
When 9 enters and presses the lower surface of the tip end portion 36 of the bending lip 33 with its tip edge 29b, the entire bending lip 33 is bent and deformed to the outside of the vehicle around the thin fixed end portion 34 as shown by the alternate long and short dash line. At the same time, the tip portion 36 also bends and deforms so as to rise upward. Therefore, the elastic reaction force of the bent lip 33 pushes the end portion 29a of the window glass 29 toward the outer side of the vehicle as shown by the alternate long and short dash line to move it toward the outer end surface 22a of the window frame 22, and the outer side support piece 31a. Both 2 close to the outer surface
The steps of 9, 31a are sufficiently small.

Further, since the fixed end portion 34 is formed thin, the bending deformation action of the entire bending lip 33 around the fixed end portion 34 toward the outside of the vehicle becomes easy. As a result, the sliding resistance between the lower surface of the tip end portion 36 and the window glass edge 29b is also reduced, and the window glass 29 can be smoothly raised.

At the same time, the edge 29b of the window glass 29 pushes the upper piece 25 of the main body 24 upward via the tip portion 36, so that the seal lips 26, 26 are pressed against the bottom surface 23a. As a result, a good sealing action between the window frame 22 and the window glass 29 can be obtained.

EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION As is apparent from the above description, according to the weather strip for an automobile of the present invention, it is of course possible to obtain a good sealing effect between the window frame and the main body by the seal lip, and the wind glass. During the closing operation of the, the elastic reaction force of the bent lip provides the sealing effect between the main body and the window glass, and at the same time, it can be moved to the outside of the vehicle, so the request for the flash surface can be satisfied at the same time. It is highly practical.

Moreover, since the fixed end portion is formed thin, the bending deformation action of the entire bending lip around the fixed end portion toward the outside of the vehicle becomes easy. As a result, the sliding resistance between the lower surface of the tip of the bent lip and the edge of the window glass is reduced, and the window glass can always be smoothly raised.
