(57)【要約】 （修正有） 【目的】路上の物体の鉛直面の視認が容易で、ちらつき
も発生せず、しかも工事施工や保守点検が容易な道路照
明方法を提供する。 【構成】光源を収納する光源器１と、光源器１から放出
された光線を導き発光する長さ２ｍ以上の筒状の発光部
２とから成る照明装置を用いる。この照明装置を複数個
道路面上の高さ４ｍ以下の位置に道路延長にほぼ連続的
に設置し、かつ、光源器１の光の放出方向を車の進行方
向に向ける。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本考案は道路上の物体の視認を容
易にするとともにドライバーの視線誘導を行うことによ
り交通事故を防止することを目的とした道路照明装置に
関するものである。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来の道路照明は社団法人日本道路協会
制定の道路照明施設設置基準・同解説に基づき設置さ
れ、一般的には図１，トンネルなどでは図２に示すよう
な方法がとられている。
【０００３】図１の場合は灯具の配列は図３に示すごと
く（ａ）片側配列（ｂ）千鳥配列（ｃ）向き合せ配列が
あり、それぞれの配列方法と道路の幅員Ｗによって灯具
の取付高さＨと間隙Ｓが決定される。その関係は、上記
道路照明施設設置基準に規定されている。例えば幅員１
０ｍの道路の場合、向き合わせが配列の場合Ｈ≧５ｍ，
Ｓ≦３０ｍとなる。
【０００４】図２の場合は、路面の輝度分布の均一性を
良好に保つと同時に灯具のグレアによる悪影響を少なく
するため、取付高さＨは４ｍ以上にすることを原則とし
ている。取付間隙は路面、壁面の輝度確保に必要な灯数
とちらつきによる不快感を少なくする工夫を行ない決定
されるが、いずれにしろ灯具は斜め上方であり、灯具は
間隔をおいて設置されることにはかわりない。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】このような従来の道路
照明方式によると、道路上の物体は図４に示すごとく上
方から照明されることになり物体の鉛直面には光があた
りにくく物体の存在は判明しても、詳細の視認は困難で
あった。また、前述の道路照明設置基準、同解説にも述
べられている通り、ちらつきによる不快感、誘導性とい
った点でも改善されなければならない問題点を有してい
る。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明の道路照明方法
は、光源を収納する光源器と、該光源器から放出された
光線を導き発光する長さ２ｍ以上の筒状の発光部とから
成る照明装置を用いた道路照明方法であって、該照明装
置を複数個道路面上の高さ４ｍ以下の位置に道路延長に
ほぼ連続的に設置し、かつ、光源器の光の放出方向を車
の進行方向に向けることを特徴とするものである。

【実施例】図５は本発明の道路照明方法に用いる照明装
置Ａの１ユニットの一例を示した図であり、光源器１と
発光部２とから成る。光源器１には反射鏡３，ソケット
４，光源５と光を放出するガラスカバー６を有してい
る。発光部２は断面構造図６に示す通りアクリル樹脂等
透光性材料で成形された中空パイプ上の外部７に反射シ
ート８を包含し、略９０°の範囲が外部素材７のまま残
されて光放出溝９となっている。
【０００８】中空パイプの先端内部には反射板１２が設
置されている。反射鏡３は光源５からの光を１５°以下
に反射する反射光１０の性分ができるだけ多くなるよう
に設計されていおり、外部７、反射シート８に入射した
反射光１０ができるだけ中空パイプの内部を伝幡し反射
板１２に当り、再び中空パイプ内に戻るように工夫され
ている。
【０００９】放出光は、(a) 反射シート８により光放出
溝９から放出される放出光１１ａ、(b) 反射シート８に
反射して光放出溝９から放出光１１ｂ、(c) と入射角の
関係から直接光放出溝９から放出される放出光１１ｃ等
にわかれる。
【００１０】この時、放出光１１ａ，１１ｂ，１１ｃは
光源器側と先端側の分布ができるだけ均等でかつ量を多
くすることにより、発光部２の長さを延長することがで
き本発明の主旨に適したものとすることができるので、
光源５のワット数や反射鏡３反射シート８反射板１２の
反射率，形状を工夫する必要がある。
【００１１】例えば図７に示す反射シート８’のように
反射面積を拡大する為に山形の溝を設けたりプリズム機
構を用いて反射光１０の伝幡率を向上させる為に、光放
出溝９の内部にプリズム１３を設けたりすることも改善
策の１つである。
【００１２】このような照明装置Ａを１ユニットとし、
複数のユニットＡ１，Ａ２，Ａ３・・・をほぼ連続して
図８のように設置する。この時、光源器１のガラスカバ
ー６はドライバーのまぶしさを防止する為に車の進行方
向にむけられており、設置高さは路面上４ｍ以下、でき
れば２ｍ程度が好ましい。

【発明の効果】本システムによるとほぼ連続した放出光
１１ａ，１１ｂ，１１ｃが路面上の物体を側面から連続
して照明することになるので、 (1) 物体の鉛直面の視認が容易。 (2) 連続した光の帯びによりちらつきが発生しない。 (3) 同様に道路の流れを情報提供する誘導性を有してい
る。 等の交通安全上の大きな効果を得ることができる他、防
音壁に設置できるので工事施工の簡略化や保守点検を容
易にする等の経済的効果も期待できる。

    部とから成る照明装置を用いた道路照明方法であって、 該照明装置を複数個道路面上の高さ４ｍ以下の位置に道
    路延長にほぼ連続的に設置し、かつ、光源器の光の放出
    方向を車の進行方向に向けることを特徴とする道路照明
    方法。
