Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the cleaning process before using a glass and suppress water repellency, paper mark or burning by incorporating sodium tripolyphosphate to moderate the control range of property. CONSTITUTION:The inter-leaf for glass incorporated with >=0.1wt.% sodium tripolyphosphate is obtained by spraying a sodium tripolyphosphate aq. solution on the inter-leaf for glass and drying to uniformly coat on the fiber surface of the leaf. Sodium tripolyphosphate is transferred from the paper to the surface of the glass so that the trace of the sodium tripolyphosphate exists on the surface of the glass by spreading the inter-leaf between the glasses, transporting and storing. An organic material transferred from the leaf to the glass side simultaneously or after sodium tripolyphosphate is transferred is not in contact with the glass surface directly and is easily removed from the glass by washing. As a result, the glass surface free from water repellency and paper mark is obtained and the proceeding of the burning of the glass is prevented by suppressing the rise of pH on the glass surface by the hydrolysis of sodium tripolyphosphate.

2. Description of the Related Art When transporting and storing flat glass, paper called interleaving paper is sandwiched between the glasses. However, an organic substance such as a resin component contained in the interleaving paper may adhere to the glass surface to cause water repellency or a visible pattern or haze called a paper atom on the glass surface.

In order to prevent these, the resin content of the interleaving paper is reduced (JP-A-60-181399, etc.), surface roughness is adjusted, water absorption is increased (JP-A-49-72314), or a certain amount or more. Containing alumina (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 60-1662)

However, with the recent diversification of uses of glass, the demand for surface cleanliness has increased, and in some cases the slight water repellency of the surface is avoided. It can be said that a clean glass surface is hydrophilic at a contact angle of water of 10 degrees or less, and exhibits water repellency due to the adhesion of an extremely small amount of an organic substance (for example, several molecular layers). Therefore, there is a problem that it is extremely difficult to completely avoid water repellency as long as paper, which is originally an organic substance, is used.

The present invention solves the above problems of the prior art, and in consideration of the fact that glass is transported and stored in most cases, and is washed during use, organic matter from paper is taken into consideration. It is intended to provide a glass interleaving paper which can be easily removed by washing even if it adheres to a glass surface to recover a clean surface.

In the present invention, when the content of sodium tripolyphosphate is less than 0.1% by weight, it is difficult to remove the organic matter of the paper adhering to the glass surface by washing, and it is difficult to obtain a clean glass surface. The content state of sodium tripolyphosphate is that the fiber surface of the paper is uniformly coated,
It is desirable for effectively exhibiting the action described later.

In the present invention, sodium tripolyphosphate is transferred from the interleaving paper to the glass surface and is present in a trace amount on the glass surface. Therefore, organic substances from the paper that have been transferred to the glass side at the same time as or after the sodium tripolyphosphate do not come into direct contact with the glass surface. When the glass in this state is washed with water, the organic substance is very easily removed from the glass by being entrained in sodium tripolyphosphate which dissolves in water and desorbs, and a clean glass surface free from water repellency and paper dust can be obtained.

Further, even if there is an organic substance strongly adhered to the glass surface by contacting with the glass surface and forming a hydrogen bond with the silanol group on the glass surface, sodium tripolyphosphate slightly causes the glass surface to adhere. Since it dissolves, this too can be easily removed.

EXAMPLE An aqueous solution of sodium tripolyphosphate was sprayed and then dried to contain about 5% by weight of different resin contents.
Seed interleaving papers for glass (A, B, C) were prepared. The resin content (measured according to JIS P8250) of these glass interleaving papers is shown in the resin content column of Table 1 (unit: wt%).

These glass interleaving papers were inserted between ultra thin glass sheets for liquid crystal (1.1 mm thick). Next, this plate glass was stored for 10 days in a thermo-hygrostat at 20 ° C. and a humidity of 80% RH. Then, it was washed with water and the contact angle before and after the water washing was measured, and the results are shown in the column (unit: degree) of the example in Table 1. The interleaving paper C had a surface with low smoothness (rough surface) and a surface with high smoothness (vine surface), and both surfaces were measured.
As a comparative example, the same test and the same measurement were performed on the same interleaving paper containing no sodium tripolyphosphate, and the results are shown in the comparative example column of Table 1.

According to Table 1, regardless of the resin content, when sodium tripolyphosphate is contained, the contact angle is small in all interleaving papers, and water-repellent stains are easily removed by washing with water. I understand that it is possible.

The following effects are obtained by using the interleaving paper according to the present invention. It is possible to avoid water repellency and paper dust on the glass surface without strictly controlling the properties of the interleaving paper as in the past. When transporting and storing glass, in order to reduce contaminants adhering to the glass from the interleaving paper or the atmosphere, the range in which the temperature, humidity and cleanliness of the atmosphere are controlled is greatly relaxed as compared with the prior art. The cleaning process performed before using the glass is simplified. That is, even if the surfactant used as a detergent, the ultrasonic generator provided in the cleaning tank, the brush, etc. are omitted, the same or more decontamination effect is expected. Since sodium tripolyphosphate hydrolyzes and consumes hydroxyl groups, the concentration of hydroxyl groups on the glass surface (p
