On the other hand, since the base material colored with fluorescent paint or the like, the reflecting mirror and the reflecting sheet used for bicycles and the like do not have a light source themselves, the cost can be reduced as compared with the means using the electric lamp. There is an advantage that can be achieved.
However, the reflector used in bicycles and the like has a structure that reflects light rays from its front surface (the headlight of an automobile that opposes) at different angles, and in that sense, compared to a base material colored with fluorescent paint, Although it has the advantage of expanding its range of use, it is very easy to break because the reflector material is a small polyhedron formed inside the plastic plate, and its reflection of light makes the entire reflector red or red. Since it emits yellow light, the reflected light is uniform and does not cause a change in brightness. Therefore, there is a problem that it is poor in alerting the viewer (signal transmission power). It was Further, this reflecting mirror has a drawback in that it can be used only in an area having a relatively small area in terms of structure and cost, and it is difficult to provide it in a portion having a large area such as a guard rail or a construction wall. In addition, the base material colored with the fluorescent paint is able to inform the driver etc. of its existence in a place where the illuminance is low, but the early decay of the fluorescent paint's fluorescence, stains on the film surface, and falling off. Was inevitable.

Therefore, as one means for solving such a problem, it has been proposed to use a reflective paint for forming the light ray reflecting material. This reflective paint is a function that a transparent glass ball reflects light rays (retro-reflection and diffuse reflection).
The high reflection material such as glass beads is mixed in the coating liquid and applied to the base material, or the reflection material is sprayed and adhered and fixed to the base material by pressure bonding so that the reflection function is exhibited. . First, according to the method of mixing the highly reflective material in the coating liquid and applying it to the substrate, the coating state as shown in FIG.
Not all glass beads are uniformly exposed on the surface of the coating film, and even if they are exposed, the top of the glass beads is slightly exposed. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain uniform high-brightness reflection and the surface strength is high. However, there is a drawback that large unevenness occurs.

Also, a method of spraying or crimping a highly reflective material,
That is, the substantially transparent high-intensity glass beads having high-intensity reflection performance, the surface of the base material coated with a colored adhesive having a high light reflectance in a layered manner, the ball top is fully exposed to the surface, and According to the method of adhering and fixing with the bottom part thereof immersed in the adhesive layer, a coating state as shown in FIG. 9 is obtained, and the top part of the glass beads is largely exposed on the coating film surface. That is, it is possible to receive light from a wide angle, reflect most of the incident light, and increase the brightness of the light receiving surface.

However, when the high-luminance light-reflecting material obtained by the method of spraying or pressure-bonding the above-mentioned high-reflecting material is used for a guard rail or the like, it receives a strong light ray like a headlight of an automobile. In that case, due to its excellent retroreflectivity, excessive stimulating light would hit the driver's eyes, which was extremely dangerous. Therefore, it is difficult to apply it to guardrails, etc., and even if it is used, it can only be used as a road guide display board or as a seal and used locally. In view of the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, the present invention is a light-reflecting material having high brightness while being able to obtain sufficient light-reflecting (noticeability to a driver) particularly for roads and appropriately suppressing retroreflection. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for manufacturing a light-reflecting material, in which the brightness can be easily adjusted.

According to the light-reflecting material of the present invention, high-intensity glass beads (high-intensity particles) and low-intensity glass beads (low-intensity particles) are fixed to a substrate in a mixed state at a predetermined ratio. Therefore, when a light beam (for example, a headlight) is radiated on this, the high-intensity glass beads have a spherical shape part where the incident light beam is covered with a colored adhesive layer having a high light reflectance at the bottom of the glass beads. The glass beads are strongly reflected by the retroreflective performance due to, and the low-brightness glass beads are absorbed by the reflected light passing through the thin film paint on the surface and are weakly reflected, so that the brightness of the surface is reduced. As a result, by the high-intensity glass beads and the low-intensity glass beads, the incident light rays are reflected in a predetermined area with different intensities, and unlike the conventional case, all the glass beads do not have high intensity due to retroreflection, The brightness is appropriately suppressed. Therefore, even if this light-reflecting material is applied to a guardrail, it does not reflect excessive stimulating light while giving sufficient attention to the driver, etc. You can drive safely.

Since this light reflecting material basically uses only a large number of glass beads, it is easy to cover a relatively large area, for example, the main portion of the guard rail or the entire surface of the construction protection wall. Can be laid on.
Further, compared to the conventional reflecting mirror, there is less damage due to impact and the like, and because it is glass beads, it is also resistant to sulfuric acid mist and acid rain. Then, according to the method for producing a light-reflecting material of the present invention, high-intensity glass beads (high-intensity granules) and low-intensity glass beads (low-intensity granules) are bonded and fixed to a base material. The intensity of the brightness of the reflector as a whole can be easily adjusted simply by mixing them at an arbitrary ratio.

FIG. 3 shows another embodiment, in which the high-intensity glass beads 3 and the low-intensity glass beads 3 are mixed with the high-intensity glass beads 3 so as to diffuse the reflected light rays of the high-intensity glass beads 3 due to irregular reflection and to function as a protective film. A resin film layer 5 of a transparent low-adhesive liquid synthetic resin is formed on the surface of the brightness glass beads 4, 41 and in the gaps between the glass beads 3, 4, 41. That is,
As shown in FIG. 4 (here, the resin film layer 5 on the top of each glass bead is omitted), the incident light beam enters the high-intensity glass bead 3 at a large angle (close to the surface of the substrate 1). And the light ray reaching the portion in contact with the colored adhesive layer 2 at the bottom is reflected at a predetermined angle by the usual retroreflective action, but when entering at a small angle (shallow angle), The light beam is emitted from the resin film layer 5 (especially each glass bead 3, 4, 4).
1), and the reflection angle is not uniform due to the unstable reflection condition at the contact boundary between the resin film layer 5 and the high-intensity glass beads 3.
As a result, due to the presence of the resin film layer 5, diffuse diffuse reflection is obtained, and sufficient brightness is obtained while reflection in many directions is obtained. Further, the presence of the resin film layer 5 makes it possible to exhibit resistance to dust, sulfur mist, acid rain, and the like from automobiles. Then, this resin film layer 5
Even if the glass is worn, the brightness of the glass beads 3, 4, 41, which is the main body, does not decrease, and the brightness is improved. FIG. 7 shows a state in which the reflected light material of the present invention is applied to a guardrail.

EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION According to the light-reflecting material of the present invention, even when it is used for various road applications such as guardrails, it is possible to obtain a sufficient light-reflecting property (attention to the driver), but the retroreflective brightness. Is moderately suppressed so that it does not reflect excessive stimulating light. As a result, it is possible to prevent a dangerous situation where the driver is dazzled due to a curve or the like, and it is possible to contribute to safe driving. Also,
Since glass beads are basically used, there are advantages that they are excellent in durability against dust, sulfuric acid mist, acid rain, etc., and have sufficient strength. According to the method for producing a light-reflecting material of the present invention, the brightness adjustment of the light-reflecting material having such advantages can be performed by a simple operation of changing the mixing ratio thereof before the adhesive fixing of the high and low brightness glass beads. There is an effect that can be performed.
