That is, in connecting the power transmission lines, the ends of the aluminum power transmission lines are inserted into the sleeve made of pure aluminum from both ends thereof. After that, this sleeve is crushed by a means such as hydraulic pressure and caulked to the power transmission line, and both aluminum electric wires are crimp-connected through the sleeve.

Insert into both ends of a sleeve made of excellent pure aluminum. Then, dies having a predetermined shape are arranged above and below the sleeve, and the dies are pressed against each other by hydraulic pressure with the sleeve sandwiched therebetween, and the sleeve is compressed. By repeatedly performing the compression process of the sleeve with this die, the sleeve is formed into a hexagonal prism shape, and the aluminum transmission line and the sleeve are mechanically and physically integrated to form a connection portion.

That is, the temperature of the aluminum power transmission line itself rises due to the increased load on the aluminum power transmission line. As a result, the temperature of the connection portion where the pure aluminum sleeve is compressed and deformed also rises, and creep deformation of the sleeve occurs at this connection portion.
Then, the gripping force of the aluminum power transmission line by the sleeve is reduced, and an oxide film is formed at the boundary between the sleeve and the aluminum power transmission line. This oxide film increases the contact resistance at the boundary between the sleeve and the aluminum power transmission line, which also increases the amount of heat generated. In this way, these reductions occur repeatedly, such as heat generation, creep deformation of the compression sleeve, formation of an oxide film, and heat generation, and the heat generation of the connection portion remarkably increases. As a result, in an extreme case, the temperature may rise above the melting point of the aluminum power transmission line, causing melting of the aluminum power transmission line.

This alloy is as excellent in corrosion resistance as pure aluminum.

Further, even if Zr is added in an amount of more than 0.2% by weight, the effect of improving the heat resistance commensurate with the increase in the content cannot be obtained, and conversely the manufacturing cost increases. Therefore, the Zr content is 0.01 to 0.2% by weight. In addition, when such a small amount of Zr is added,
The decrease in the conductivity of the aluminum alloy is not a problem.

Insert up to near the center of. Next, the aluminum sleeve 1 is compressed using a die and a hydraulic tool so that the height of the aluminum sleeve 1 is 4.0 mm. The width of the compression jig used in this compression step (length in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve) is, for example, 5 mm. One step is formed with this compression width, and the jig is sequentially displaced in the sleeve longitudinal direction to form the sleeve over the entire length. As a result, as shown in FIG. 1B, the hard aluminum electric wire 2,
A sleeve 4 having a hexagonal external cross section obtained by crimping and connecting 3 is obtained, and a crimping connector is completed.

Further, when the economical efficiency deteriorates, x is shown, and when the economical efficiency does not deteriorate, it is indicated by o. Furthermore, those with good corrosion resistance are indicated by O, and those with poor corrosion resistance are indicated by X. The results of these tests are shown in Table 1.

電率が低いと共に、経済性が悪いものであった。As is clear from Table 1, in Examples 1 to 4, the hardness is 28 to 30 Hv, the conductivity is 57% IACS or more, and the economical efficiency and corrosion resistance are excellent, and the electric resistance value is also high. The increase was also small. Further, Examples 1 to 4 had good compressibility and had sufficient deformability even during compression work. The hardness of the compressed portion in each of the examples was higher than the hardness (18 to 20 Hv) of the non-compressed portion. On the other hand, Comparative Example 1 containing no Zr does not have sufficient hardness. That is, the compression section is softened by the heat history of the heat cycle,
The hardness of the compressed part decreased to a value equivalent to the hardness of the non-compressed part. Further, in Comparative Example 1, the compression portion is softened and the stress is relaxed, and the gripping force of the compression portion is reduced. Therefore, in Comparative Example 1, the electric resistance value significantly increased after the heat cycle treatment. Furthermore, Comparative Example 2 containing Zr in an excessive amount had low conductivity and was poor in economic efficiency.
