PURPOSE:To stably fix a tip and to form a stable cutting face by forming projections and recesses of the hemispherical shape corresponding to each other on both upper and lower faces of the tip and a tip seat part of a holder and each of tip abutting face of pressing fittings. CONSTITUTION:In a cutting tool, a prism shaped tip 20 is longitudinally mounted on a tip seat part 11 formed at the end of a holder 10. A tip abutting face 31 of a pressing fitting 30 equipped in the holder 10 is pressure contacted with an upper face of the tip 20 so that the tip 20 is fixed. In this case, a plurality of projections A each in the hemispherical shape are formed on both an upper and lower faces 21 and 22 of the tip 20. In the meantime, on each of tip contact faces 12 and 31 corresponding to the tip seat part 11 and the pressing fitting 30, recesses B in the hemispherical shape each corresponding to each of the projections A are formed.
