Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the distortion of a bearing part in the direction of the bore, increase the area of the sliding surface, and reduce the wear by fitting by pressure a discharge cover on the bearing part of a sub-bearing installed on the side of cylinder opposite a motor-driven element, and forming the sub- bearing from ductile cast iron. CONSTITUTION:A sub-bearing 24 installed on that side of a cylinder constituting a compressing element system where a motor-driven element is located, is made from a ductile cast iron having Young's modulus over 15,000kg/mm<2>. A discharge cover 16 is fitted fast by pressure on the bearing part 24a of the sub- bearing 24. Thereby the distortion due to pressure fit of the discharge cover 16 is decreased by the rise of Young's modulus of the sub-bearing material, to allow decrease of the non-sliding surface 19 of the sub-bearing 24, and it is practicable to secure sufficient silding surface 18 and reduce the wear of a crank shaft 17 and sliding surface 18.

Reference numeral 1 denotes a hermetic container, and the hermetic container 1 includes a compression element 2 and an electric element 3, and a sub-bearing 14 provided on the non-electric element side of a cylinder 4 constituting the compression element 2.
The discharge cover 16 integrated with the oil supply pipe 15 is attached to the bearing unit 1.
4 Press-fitted and fixed to the outer circumference. A crankshaft 17 rotates on a sliding surface 18 of the auxiliary bearing 14. A non-sliding surface 19 is provided to absorb strain when the discharge cover 16 is press-fitted. The sub-bearing 14 usually has a workability,
Gray cast iron with excellent lubricity is used.

In the above-mentioned structure, the discharge cover 16
Is press-fitted and fixed to the outer periphery of the bearing portion 24a. Here the sub-bearing 24 is made of ductile iron, because they usually have a Young's modulus 15,000 kg / mm 2 or more, compared to the Young's modulus 8000 kg / mm 2 approximately gray cast iron, high rigidity, by press-fitting of the cover 16 The strain of the bearing portion 24a in the inner diameter direction is reduced, and the non-sliding surface 19 for releasing the influence of this strain is reduced, so that the area of the sliding surface 18 can be increased, and the crankshaft 17 and the sliding surface can be increased. The wear of 18 can be reduced.
