(7)は、図のように上下一対をなし、上部のローラに駆
動がかけられており、そしてこの上部のローラは下部の
ローラに接離するようになつている。よつて、原稿を検
出ローラ(7)間に差込み、原稿先端がセンサー(8)によつ
て検出されると、検出ローラ(7)が原稿を圧接すると同
時に回転して原稿を無端ベルト(5)の一端に送り込み、
又、原稿の終端がセンサー(8)を通過し終つた時点での
上記検出ローラ(7)の回転数によつて用紙のサイズが検
出されるとともに、その検出信号によつて複写機が応動
し、上記サイズに対応するコピーが得られる、この種原
稿搬送装置の一般的形態である。そこで、本案で取上げ
ようとする問題は、上記原稿に曲りぐせがついていた場
合、この原稿が検出ローラ(7)と無端ベルト(5)とにまた
がつて移動する過程で、曲つたまゝ上記検出ローラ(7)
と無端ベルトとの間を移動することになり、従つて、こ
の曲つたまゝの原稿をセンサー(8)が検出するため、セ
ンサーの検出時間に過不足が生じ、最終的に原稿の後端
がセンサー(8)を通過し終つたときの検出ローラ(7)の回
転数が狂つてしまい、該ローラの回転数で判別される原
稿サイズの検出ができなくなる。
