2. Description of the Related Art A procedure for tightening a member to be joined at a joint of a shaped steel member using a joining tool of this type is such that a wedge-shaped head portion of a bolt becomes a front end in an insertion direction in a bolt hole of a member to be joined. After the wedge-shaped head is inserted to such a depth that the wedge-shaped head penetrates the joining target member and passes through the bolt hole, the nut is tightened. That is, after inserting the connector as described above, tightening the nut while preventing co-rotation of the bolt causes the bolt to move toward the front side in the direction opposite to the insertion direction, and the wedge-shaped head portion of the bolt accordingly. The sleeve also moves to the front side by coming into contact with the expanding portion that can be expanded provided at the front end of the sleeve in the insertion direction. When the rear end of the sleeve in the insertion direction comes into contact with the nut via the washer, the movement of the sleeve is restrained by being supported by the nut, and the sleeve expands as the bolt wedge-shaped head enters after the nut is tightened. The diameter of the opening increases. The expanded portion of the expanded diameter sleeve contacts the peripheral edge of the bolt hole of the joining target member, and the tightening force of the bolt acting by tightening the nut thereafter is transmitted to the joining target member through the expanding portion. Becomes As described above, the joining target member receives a compressive force generated by tightening the nut that abuts on one end of the bolt hole through the washer and the wedge-shaped head portion of the bolt that abuts on the other end through the sleeve expanding portion, It is joined in a state in which stress can be transmitted by the frictional resistance generated between the members to be joined.

However, at this time, since the sleeve is in contact with the nut at one end and the wedge-shaped head portion of the bolt at the other end, the sleeve receives a compressive force as it is tightened as with the members to be joined. Therefore, the effective tightening force acting on the joining target members is reduced. Therefore, it is preferable that the sleeve does not bear the tightening force as much as possible after the expansion of the expanded portion is finished and the tightening force is directly transmitted from the bolt to the joining target member.

Therefore, the present applicant first provided a thin portion by a concave circumferential groove at the end portion of the sleeve on the nut side, and seated the thin portion by the tightening force after the expansion portion of the sleeve expanded. It was proposed that the sleeve should be bent to reduce the burden of tightening force by the sleeve. (See, for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 46-21128)

However, even when the above-mentioned connector is used, the sleeve is deformed by buckling due to the tightening force after the expanding portion of the sleeve is expanded, and the sleeve is deformed in the axial direction. Although the stress is drastically reduced, there is a drawback that the stress against the tightening force still remains. That is, the force serving as the initial tension for joining the members to be joined is not yet the entire tightening force.

That is, according to the first characterizing feature of the present invention, first, since the support tool for supporting the sleeve on the nut is provided, one end of the sleeve is supported between the nut and the nut by the support tool. The movement of the sleeve is restrained against the movement of the sleeve toward the nut side, and the diameter of the expanded portion at the other end of the sleeve can be expanded. Further, at least a part of the support is provided with a breaking portion that loses the supporting force by breaking by receiving a compressive force larger than the axial force for expanding the diameter of the expanding portion via the wedge-shaped head. Therefore, due to the wedge-shaped head of the bolt entering the nut side as the nut is threaded, the broken part of the support is destroyed by the greater compression force generated by the tightening after the diameter expansion of the sleeve expansion part. However, since the sleeve is not supported by the nut, the tightening force of the nut can be effectively applied to the joining of the joining target members.

According to the second characteristic configuration of the present invention,
Since the breaking portion is formed of ceramics, the advantage of the material of ceramics that the brittleness is high can be utilized, and when the supporting tool receives a compressive force larger than the axial force at the time of expanding the sleeve, The breaking portion is brittlely broken, and the stress is not propagated between the sleeve and the nut. As in the case described above, the tightening force of the nut can be effectively applied to the joining of the members to be joined.

According to a third characteristic configuration, the support is
A large cylinder and a small cylinder that can be fitted to each other while being fitted onto the bolt, and a breaking portion that connects ends opposite to each other in the axial direction with the two cylinders arranged substantially concentrically. Therefore, when a force is applied in the axial direction, the force is structurally concentrated in the breakage part that connects both cylinders, making it easier to break, and a compressive force larger than the axial force when expanding the diameter is provided. Upon receiving it, the breaking part shears and breaks, the small cylinder and the large cylinder are in a state of fitting with each other, the stress does not propagate between the sleeve and the nut, and the tightening force of the nut is effectively used for tightening the members to be joined. It becomes possible to act.

When the bolt wedge-shaped head portion 14a is advanced into the bolt hole 4 by screwing the nut 15, the end of the expanded portion 12 of the sleeve 11 is expanded while sliding on the wedge-shaped surface 14aa. In this state, the sleeve support 16 has a strength not to be broken by the acting axial compressive force (hereinafter, referred to as a compressive force at the time of expansion), and therefore is not broken, and the nut 1
When the wedge-shaped head portion 14a is advanced by continuing the screwing of No. 5, the expanded portion 12 of the sleeve 11 is expanded to the maximum diameter and is sandwiched between the counterbore portion 13 of the attachment plate 3b and the wedge-shaped surface 14aa of the bolt 14. The bolt wedge-shaped head portion 14a is prevented from entering, and the tensile axial force generated in the bolt body 14 as the nut 15 is subsequently threaded is transmitted to the joining target member 9 as a tightening force. However, at this point, the tightening force of the bolt is also acting on the sleeve 11, the sleeve support 16 and the washer 17, and when the force exceeds the compressing force at the time of expansion, the breaking portion 19 of the sleeve support 16 is compressed. It breaks and pulverizes, and there is no continuity in the gap 18, so that no force is transmitted between the sleeve 11 and the washer 17.

By breaking the sleeve support 16 in this manner, all of the tightening force of the bolt is supplied from the nut 15 through the washer 17 at one end of the joining target member 9 and through the sleeve expanding portion 12 at the multi-end. The maximum bonding force is obtained by receiving from the bolt wedge-shaped head 14a.

[Other Embodiments] In the previous embodiment, the supporting member 16 of the sleeve 11 has a broken portion 19 as a whole.
Although the one-piece molded product of ceramics has been described, the present invention is not limited to this example. For example,
The supporting member 16 may be provided with the breaking portion 19 in a part thereof, and the breaking portion 19 may be formed of a brittle material other than ceramics. Further, the shape is not limited to a single cylinder, and, for example, as shown in FIG. 4, one large cylinder 16a and one small cylinder 16b that can be externally fitted to the bolt body 14 in the bolt hole 4, or It may be formed by combining a plurality of them. In that case, a part or a front portion of the large cylinder 16a and the small cylinder 16b is formed in the destruction portion 1.
It may be formed as 9, or the portion connecting the cylinders may be formed as the breaking portion 19. Also,
The breaking portion 19 may be provided in a plurality of places in the support 16. In short, if the axial force applied to the support 16 exceeds the compressive force at the time of expansion, it may be broken and the stress cannot be transmitted.
