As described in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 52-24674, as an exhaust expansion pipe that connects the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine and a muffler, the inner wall of the expansion pipe body is lined with a sound absorbing material such as glass wool to reduce exhaust gas. Devices that prevent side wall resonance due to pulsating pressure are known.

However, in the above-mentioned publication, the perforated plate is supported by a holding plate, and in other conventional cases, the perforated plate is directly spot-welded to the expansion tube body. These conventional devices have a problem in that the vibrations of the porous plate caused by the pulsating pressure of the exhaust gas are transmitted to the expansion tube body via the holding plate or directly, increasing the shell noise. Furthermore, the holding plate and the expansion tube body, or the perforated plate and the expansion tube body, must have a part that comes into direct contact for spot welding.
Since a sound absorbing material cannot be interposed in this contact portion, there is a drawback that the sound absorbing area becomes small.

〔発明の目的〕[Purpose of the invention]

The present invention was made based on the above circumstances,
It is an object of the present invention to provide an exhaust expansion pipe for a two-stroke internal combustion engine, in which vibrations of a perforated plate are hardly transmitted to the expansion pipe main body, and a large sound-absorbing area can be ensured to reduce shell noise.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a sound-absorbing material inside the expansion tube main body, which has a substantially spindle shape by reducing the diameter of the front and rear parts compared to the middle part, and a perforated plate inside the sound-absorbing material. In the exhaust expansion pipe of the two-stroke internal combustion engine provided, the perforated plate is formed into a substantially spindle shape with diameters reduced at the front and rear parts compared to the middle part, and into a cylindrical shape resembling the shape of the expansion pipe main body. , the outer periphery of the perforated plate is brought into contact with the sound absorbing material, and the entire perforated plate is spaced apart from the expansion tube main body.

According to the present invention, since the perforated plate is supported only by the sound absorbing material, the vibration of the perforated plate is absorbed by the sound absorbing material and is not transmitted to the expansion tube body, so that the shell noise can be reduced. Further, since the sound absorbing material can be stretched over the entire inner surface of the expansion tube body, sound absorbing properties are improved. Moreover, the perforated plate is almost spindle-shaped with the diameters of the front and rear parts reduced compared to the middle part, and is thus formed into a cylindrical shape that resembles the shape of the expansion tube body, so the perforated plate is simply a sound-absorbing material. The perforated plate does not displace inside the expansion tube body even though it is in contact with the expansion tube body.

The sound absorbing material 12 is attached to the entire inner wall surface of the expansion tube main body 11 with a predetermined thickness,
Therefore, this sound absorbing material 12 is also substantially L-shaped and spindle-shaped, with the front and rear portions having smaller diameters than the middle portion. In addition, the sound absorbing material 12 is divided into upper and lower halves 17a and 17b along the axis of the approximately L-shaped exhaust passage, as shown in FIG.
It is held between the expansion tube main body 11 and the perforated plate 13.

The perforated plate 13 is formed into a cylindrical shape similar to the expansion tube main body 11, and is in contact with the inner surface of the sound absorbing material 12 over almost the entire surface, and both edges of the cylindrical perforated plate 13 are The above-mentioned expansion tube main body 1
It is separated from 1. Therefore, the perforated plate 13 is supported by the sound absorbing material 12 and is received by the sound absorbing material 12, so that the expansion tube main body 11
installed without direct contact with the In this case, the perforated plate 13 is also substantially L-shaped and has a spindle shape with the front and rear parts having smaller diameters than the middle part, so the perforated plate 13 does not move inside the expansion tube main body 11. Note that, like the expansion tube body 11, the perforated plate 13 also has two holes on the left and right, as shown in FIG. 4, along the axis of the approximately L-shaped exhaust passage.
These two divided members 18a and 18b are formed into a cylindrical shape by overlapping the divided ends and welding 19, as shown in FIG.

In the above embodiment, outwardly bulging bead portions 20, 20 are formed at both ends of the expansion tube main body 11, one of which is shown in FIG.
The perforated plate 12 corresponds to these bead parts 20, 20.
There are also bead portions 2 that bulge outward at both ends.
1 and 21 are formed, and these bead portions 20,
A sound absorbing material 12 is sandwiched between 20, 21, and 21. This protects the ends of the sound absorbing material 12 from the exhaust flow and further prevents the perforated plate 13 from moving.

Such an exhaust expansion pipe 5 is shown in FIGS. 7 to 10.
It is assembled as shown in the figure. That is, first, the left and right perforated plate dividing members 1 shown in FIG.
By abutting 8a and 18b, overlapping the split ends, and welding 19, a substantially L-shaped and spindle-shaped perforated plate 13 is formed.

According to such an exhaust expansion pipe 5, since it has a perforated plate 13 made of punched metal or the like on the inner circumferential surface, the exhaust gas from the engine is reflected by this perforated plate 13 and generates a reflected wave, so that two cycles are performed. Engine performance improves.

Moreover, the perforated plate 13 is supported only by the sound absorbing material 12 and does not directly touch the expansion tube main body 11. Even if the perforated plate 13 vibrates due to exhaust pulsation pressure, this vibration is attenuated by the sound absorbing material 12 and the expansion tube main body 11 is not transmitted. For this reason, the expansion tube main body 11 does not generate shell noise.

Further, with such a structure, the sound absorbing material 12 is attached to the entire inner surface of the expansion tube body 11, so that the sound absorbing area increases and the sound absorbing effect increases.

In the case of this embodiment, the sound absorbing material 12 is formed between the bead portions 20, 20 formed at both ends of the expansion tube body 1 and the bead portions 21, 21 formed at both ends of the perforated plate 12.
Since the bead portions 20 and 21 are sandwiched between the bead portions 20 and 21, movement of the porous plate 13 is reliably prevented.

Moreover, since the ends of the sound absorbing material 12 are sandwiched between the outwardly swollen bead parts 20 and 21, the ends of the sound absorbing material 12 are placed at a position avoiding the exhaust flow. The edges will not fray due to exhaust pressure.

Furthermore, since the sound absorbing material 12 is divided in a direction perpendicular to the dividing direction of the expansion tube body 11 and the dividing direction of the perforated plate 12, the fuzz on the cut surface of the sound absorbing material 12 is It does not get caught in the abutting surfaces of the plates 12, and there is no problem of causing poor abutment or incomplete welding.

Note that the present invention is not limited to the configuration of the above embodiment, and the bead portions 20, 21 of the above embodiment
Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 11, only the end 30 of the perforated plate 13 may be expanded in diameter so as not to come into contact with the expansion tube main body 11.

As described above, according to the present invention, the perforated plate is supported only by the sound absorbing material without coming into contact with the expansion tube body, so the vibration of the perforated plate excited by exhaust pulsation pressure is transmitted to the expansion tube body. is not transmitted, and the shell sound is reduced. Moreover, since the sound-absorbing material can be spread over the entire inner surface of the expansion tube body, the sound-absorbing effect is improved.
