Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a wire electric discharge machining device and a wire electric discharge machining method allowing a workpiece even with large plate thickness to be machined with large electric discharge energy so as to enable the improvement of machining efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The bath voltage between a wire 1 and a workpiece 2 is detected, and when the bath voltage becomes the specified value or less, the wire 1 and workpiece 2 are relatively separated along a machining path and then brought close to each other again along the machining path by a retreat control means. In a wire electric discharge machining device having such a retreat control means, there is provided a jump control means 7 for separating the wire 1 and workpiece 2 relatively along the machining path and then bringing both of them close to each other again along the machining path at the preset time interval.

2. Description of the Related Art In Japanese Patent Publication No. 48-37320, as shown in FIG. 2, the voltage between the wire 1 and the work 2, that is, the voltage between contacts is detected by a voltage detecting means 3 and both are short-circuited. , A so-called retreat control in which the two are relatively separated along the machining path by the moving means 4 for moving the work 2 in the orthogonal X-Y directions so as to bring them closer together along the machining path after the short circuit is resolved. A wire electric discharge machine having a function is disclosed. Furthermore, when the wire 1 and the work 2 are short-circuited, the wire 1 often breaks,
When the voltage between contacts becomes equal to or less than a predetermined value, the moving means 4 of the work 2 relatively separates the two along the machining path,
There is also a wire electric discharge machine in which both are brought closer to each other along the machining path when the voltage between the electrodes reaches a predetermined value or more. Further, according to the above-described technique, machining can be performed with a large discharge energy, so that the machining efficiency can be improved. Then, the NC device 5 controls the relative movement of the wire 1 and the work 2 including the above-mentioned retreat control function based on the machining program. In addition, 6 is a support for supporting the work 2.

However, if the plate thickness of the work 2 becomes large, the sludge generated by the processing may not be discharged from the processing portion. When the sludge is present in the processing portion, short circuits increase, the wire 1 and the work 2 only repeat relative movement at one location, and the processing does not proceed and the efficiency does not increase. It is an object of the present application to provide a wire electric discharge machining apparatus and a wire electric discharge machining method which solve the above-mentioned problems and can perform machining with a large electric discharge energy even when a work plate has a large thickness and can improve machining efficiency. It is in.

The above-mentioned problem is to detect the inter-electrode voltage between the wire and the work, and when the inter-electrode voltage falls below a predetermined value, move the wire and the work along the machining path. In a wire electric discharge machine having a retreat control means for moving the two relatively closer together along the machining path, the wire and the work are relatively separated along the machining path at a predetermined time interval. The problem can be solved by providing a jump control means for bringing the two closer together along the machining path.

The sludge can be easily discharged from the working part by relatively separating the wire and the work along the working path at predetermined time intervals. As a result,
The frequency with which the inter-electrode voltage between the wire and the work becomes equal to or lower than a predetermined value is reduced, and the working efficiency can be improved.

FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an embodiment of the present invention. The same components as those in FIG. 2 are designated by the same reference numerals. Reference numeral 7 denotes a jump control device that relatively separates the wire 1 and the work 2 along a machining path at a predetermined time interval and then brings them closer together along the machining path. Reference numeral 8 is a setting device for setting a distance for relatively separating the wire 1 and the work 2 along the machining path during the jump control. Reference numeral 9 is a setter for setting a time interval for executing the jump control. Reference numeral 10 is a selection switch for selecting whether to execute jump control. When the plate thickness of the work 1 is large, the distance by which the wire 1 and the work 2 are relatively separated along the processing path by the setting device 8 is set to 0.2 mm, for example, before the processing, and the setting device is set. The time interval for executing the jump control is set to 5 seconds by 9, for example, and the selection switch 10 is turned on to connect the jump control device 7 and the NC device 5. At the time of processing, the wire 1 and the work 2 are repeatedly separated from each other by 0.2 mm every 5 seconds along the processing path and then again approached along the processing path. Further, when the voltage between contacts becomes equal to or less than a predetermined value, the backward control is performed as in the conventional case. In this example,
Although the distance by which the wire 1 and the work 2 are relatively separated is set by the setting device 8, the time by which the wire 1 and the work 2 are relatively separated may be set. In addition, a setter 8 for determining a distance to be relatively separated,
Although the setting device 9 for determining the time interval of the jump control is provided, either one may be fixed and only the other may be set.

As described above, according to the present invention, the sludge can be easily discharged from the working portion by relatively separating the wire 1 and the work 2 at a predetermined time interval. . As a result, it is possible to reduce the frequency of the voltage between the wire and the work being equal to or less than a predetermined value, perform machining with a large discharge energy, and improve the machining efficiency.
