2. Description of the Related Art Wood, bamboo, plastics molded articles, etc. are used as the base material for coated chopsticks. However, these materials have many burrows, and air and water are retained in the burrows, so that there is a problem in that they expand and foam to cause blisters in the coating film. Blistering appears remarkably when the temperature difference between the chopstick material and the paint during application is large, but even if the temperature of the paint is equal to the temperature of the chopstick material, it is necessary to quickly cure the coating film. When heated,
The temperature of the chopsticks material rises, and the air and water contained therein expand and foam, causing blisters on the coating film. Therefore, in order to prevent this blistering, conventionally, the following three methods (1) to (3) have been adopted. (1) Apply an impregnating paint such as a moisture-curable polyurethane resin paint as a base coat to the chopstick material and then dry it.
A method in which air or water is replaced with an impregnating paint, and then a topcoat paint is applied and dried. (2) A method of applying the coating material to the chopstick material, first drying at room temperature until it does not cause blistering even when heated, and then heating and secondary drying. (3) A method of using a room temperature curable two-component coating material comprising a main agent and a curing agent.

However, the above method (1) has a problem that the manufacturing process becomes complicated because an additional step of applying the impregnating paint is added. The method (2) is slightly different depending on the type of coating material used, but the primary drying at room temperature usually takes about 3 to 10 hours, and thus the production efficiency is poor.
There is a problem that a wide drying space is required because it is necessary to dispose the chopstick materials at a distance from each other during the primary drying. Furthermore, the above method (3) inherently has a difficult anti-resolving problem of shortening the pot life and the drying time of the two-component paint after mixing, and it remains in the coating device after coating. There is a problem in that the removed paint requires a great deal of labor because it must be removed promptly before it hardens, and the removed paint cannot be reused, resulting in a large amount of waste. The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a coated chopstick that can be manufactured without waste in a short required time and has no defective appearance such as blister and a manufacturing method thereof. There is.

The ultraviolet-curable coating material of the present invention is inevitably water, hot water,
Organic substances that dissolve in alcohol, etc., or substances that do not contain harmful substances are used. The ultraviolet curable coating material of the present invention is applied to the surface of the chopstick material by ironing. Figure 1
FIG. 3 is an explanatory view (cross-sectional view) of the application method by ironing in the present invention, in which the chopstick material 1 is an ironing application tool 2
UV-curable type through a large-diameter hole 3 provided on the side surface of the machine and a small-diameter hole 5 provided on an ironing member 4 made of a rubber member such as natural rubber or silicone rubber that covers the hole 3. The state of being immersed in the paint 6 is shown. The hole 3 has a larger diameter than the thickest part of the chopstick material 1, and the hole 5 has a smaller diameter than the thinnest part of the chopstick material 1. In addition,
This figure shows a situation in which one chopstick material is ironed for convenience. However, in an actual ironing application device, a large number of chopstick materials 1 can be ironed at one time so that a large number of chopstick materials can be applied on one side. An ironing member 4 is provided. When the chopstick material 1 is pulled out from the ironing application device 2 in the direction of the arrow 7 from the state shown in the drawing, the UV curable paint 6 attached to the chopstick material 1 in the ironing application device 2 and the hole 5 of the ironing member 4 At that point, a coating film of uniform thickness is formed on the chopstick material 1.

[0006] The above-mentioned ironing is particularly effective when it is used for producing a coated chopstick. In this case, pattern Washi paper, metal foil, natural stone, shells, etc. are processed and partially attached to the chopstick material, and after dipping it in the UV curable paint that can form a transparent coating film, it is applied to the chopstick material. The excess UV-curable paint that has adhered is squeezed off to form a coating film of the desired thickness on the chopstick material. With ordinary coating methods such as brush coating, it is usually necessary to coat several tens of times or more because the unpatterned part and the patterned part become uneven after only several coats. According to this, it is possible to manufacture coated chopsticks with a pattern without unevenness by applying the coating several times.

In particular, in the present invention, when the ultraviolet-curable coating material having a nonvolatile content of 70% by weight or more is used, the curing shrinkage due to the evaporation of the solvent during drying is small, It is possible to obtain coated chopsticks with a pattern that has almost no unevenness on the surface and a high level of touch, with a good texture by repeating coating three times. The UV-curable coating composition of the present invention has a viscosity of 1000 to 50,000 cp when applied.
It is preferably about s. Viscosity when applied is 1000 cp
If it is less than s, the film thickness is hard to adhere, and also 50,000 cp
If it exceeds s, it becomes difficult to dip the chopstick material in the paint and to remove it from the paint at the time of ironing. The coated chopsticks according to the present invention can be obtained by irradiating the coating film thus formed with ultraviolet rays. The conditions of UV irradiation depend on the type of UV curable paint used,
It may be appropriately selected according to the thickness of the coating film.

As described above, in the coated chopsticks and the manufacturing method thereof according to the present invention, since the ultraviolet curable coating material is used as the coating material, the time that can be applied to the coating operation (the coating operation possible time) is long and the coating film is Since heat is not applied during curing, the coating film does not suffer from appearance defects such as blisters, and the coating film can be cured by UV irradiation in a short time usually within 30 seconds, which reduces the time required for production. I'm done. further,
By diluting the ultraviolet-curable coating material with an organic solvent, a low-viscosity reactive monomer or oligomer, etc., the workability at the time of application can be improved with almost no decrease in the curing rate.
Furthermore, if a UV-curable coating material containing a large amount of non-volatile components is used, the curing shrinkage after drying can be reduced, and the coated chopsticks with little unevenness can be easily made with a few repeated coatings. Obtainable.
